Theres a 60's chevy pickup that runs there. He would give this pickup a good run. NA he is in the 10's, spray numbers are yet to come. Running an LS engine and a power glide. That thing is pretty deadly. This ol ford does pretty good. Love the older pickups.
more cubes are always better but. I like looking at peoples face when you tell them your only running a 302... there may be a boss block and two monster turbos but they're expecting some big block with a 8-71. I love pushing huge hp out of small cubes. since I can hit 1000hp out of a 302 I see no need to use a big block. but nothings as torquey as a 429 with a fat blower on it....
i just got a 69 f250 with a 352 4 barrel i love it . its an original full size ranger camper special original carpet n firewall the camper it had protectd the inside from the sun i wana beef it up any suggestions
What kind of carb... cfm? A great start if you're altready re-doing the electrics is performance starter, coil, distributor, etc... and of course you've got the headers, manifold, fuel pump and what not. Those are just a few (relatively) cheap and easy things to bolt on for some extra power.
FE's, while not the class of V8s that preceeded them that were called the y-block series, are still a y-block design. also you forgot the 406 and 410.
Sorry, I was just kidding around. He is right Ford never made a 454 but there are aftermarket stroker kits that make the Fords displace as much as the Chevy's. For example there is a kit to turn a 289/302 into a 327.
i have a 67 f100 short bed that is a street truck it ran10.97@124mph in the quarter and now i have a blown bbc in it and we are hopeing for 10.50s look at 1967 ford truck on here that one is mine
did you ever run the 1/4? i got a 65 f100 with a 390 and i have just done a mild cam edelbrock intake and carb. but i just want a little more did the bore .030 make a big difference?
I did run the 1/4, but can't for the life of me remember exactly what it ran (it was over ten years ago). I wanna say high tens/low elevens. It was mostly a street racer. The 30 overbore made a little bit of a difference, like 2 or 3 hp. it was nothing that someone who didn't know about it would notice. I mainly bored it because the cylinders were shot to shit when i bought the motor.
Nice, this your Truck? I fucking Love Old Fords! I have a 79 Ford F-150. 460 Big Block Police Interceptor. My mechanic says I should be running low 11's. Too heavy. Im running a 100-shot of Nitrous. How much you using? I run 12.36-13.00 the lowest and without the shot high thirteens @
103-MPH. How'd you lower ya truck so much? where did you get the dropped I beam? I just wanna lower my front end a few inches the back already can get pretty low if i let the air out the air shocks.
That run looked faster then a 11.05.

460zd71 3 years ago
352's are y-blocks, which are stronger.
killakobra 2 years ago
how ya figure that
ozneil30 2 years ago
the block extends below the crank shaft further than a 351. it make the block heavier but MUCH MUCH stronger.
killakobra 2 years ago
no id be saying a small block
that bitch revvs
