  • Reminds me a bit of Shadow Gallery vocals, for some reason. Also, RIP Mike Baker, the former singer for Shadow Gallery.

  • this vocalist is like a mix of Jon Anderson & Tommy Shaw

  • is this John Arch?

  • where the fuck is this guy now? :o

  • I own Dream Theater's entire discography, and its such a great feeling finding one of their older songs I've never heard of! Like Eve, I loove that song.. or A Vision.. Simply amazing, its sad that those songs were never shown to the world though

  • This was the guy who Dream Theater had actually decided on as a vocalist, that is...until James Labrie auditioned :D

Which, I'm very glad James is the frontman for Dream Theater, but I'd be curious to see how their music would've played off with this guy as their frontman, his version of "A Change of Seasons" is AMAZING!!!! This guy is a pretty awsome singer!

  • @fatass0123 I think you're thinking of ACoS with Chris Collins, not this guy. Collins has a higher and more nasally voice, I believe. Both are pretty good but not as good as James LaBrie or John Arch.

  • @ub3r2008 No, not Chris Collins hahaha. ACoS was written WELL after Chris Collins was shit-canned from the band! Look it up! His version is on youtube!!!

  • I really think this song is one of their best.

    WONDERFUL !!

  • I don't understand why they discarded certain songs like this from their discography.

  • I guess that besides the songs in awake or images&words would be like out of place.

  • Yeah but they're good.

  • I don't know if you knew, but they released an album entitled "When Demos and Singles Unite" which is where I first heard songs like this. I scouted it out when I heard Raise The Knife on SCORE. It's 2CDs, and an awesome collection of otherwise unheard Dream Theater work. It's overall WAY softer, but LaBrie works very well over it.

  • Yeah, I have a hard copy of Score as well and DVD. I just wish they would have included more of Kevin Moore's stuff, it was more poetic and meaningful in a metaphorical sense. Analyze the lyrics for Space-Dye Vest, then compare it with Just Let me Breathe. I'm not saying It's a bad song, but I am asking you to take judgment at the differences.

  • are we sure this wasnt Jon Anderson of Yes lol ... he would have done this track well
