here's one way to invest in jobs and it's very simple and it could keep democrats in office for a very long time, raise corporate tax on megacorps by 10% then watch the income flow in that can be used to recover our debt, then once in the green start reinvesting the extra income for infrastructure nation-wide then high tech jobs, and invest in higher learn, then promote year around educational system to catch up to the rest of the world

We could probably stand to actually raise them. On the other hand, businesses do incur a serious penalty from health care costs and dealing with regulatory hassles like attaining patents. Tax _complexity_ also incurs a cost. It so happens all these things are the government's domain. So, let 'em work
@Frapazoid No way we could afford more taxes. Since these new wars, gas prices are being estimated to get up to $5 a gallon before summer. If we cut down the wars, we could easily cut taxes. That would drive more people and businesses here to America and then hopefully slow down inflation. Our dollar is getting more worthless everyday.
