@UltravioletSRB For multimedia and browsing? Not really; the N900 is more of a developer device. But it depends. Also I am not sure of the HD2's specs, but it probably has more ram (which would help when using the web) - but on the other hand, the N900 can do things like run desktop Firefox or VLC.
@krysiak115 Well then. The N900 may not have the best hardware, but that is because it is a - hmm - 2 year old phone already! And there is little to no lag under Maemo or Android.
As for bugs: Not really. My Comet has more bugs than the N900, because there is an active community fixing them.
People go out and buy new devices so that they can get new or better OS, live in disposable world. One look at this device and it should become clear that moble devices can be versatile and not disposable. Just pick your OS, hit enter.
@Mbsin1 I am not entirely sure what you are trying to ask. However, if you just want to install Nitdroid, google "nitdroid-installer 0.2.8-8" and click on the first link for instructions.
@MultiRahul143 It depends on what you want to use it for. As of yet, you can use the phone, camera and GPS in MeeGo, while you cannot in NITDroid. On the other hand, there are many more applications available for Android than for MeeGo or Maemo. So it depends on what you want to do. This is why I installed both.
This very video proves how idiotic was Nokia to not fully support this phone, which we can see has great potential ...And I'm afraid that the same thing will happen with N9! Such a great phone and it is only supported by the community....
@Shnigi You can make calls in Meego, it seems to work pretty well in that regard (I haven't tested SMS because my plan doesn't have any texting). You can place calls in Kubuntu, and sometimes the phone on the other end rings, but you can't hear anything.
Meego probably runs the best out of all the alternate OS's, and this is only off of a class 4 card. I have great hopes for it once the UI is a bit more reliable. NITDroid is also very fast, but it crashes often, which Meego doesn't.
Is N900 worth buying atm ? I am choosing between it and HTC HD2.I will be using my phone for multimedia and browsing.
