There's too much fuel so it can't burn it all, the rest of the fuel goes out of the cylinder, and the inside heat of the exhaust pipe fires it up... and there is the flame. That happens if you release the throtle too fast, the engine can't fire up all the fuel that you've given to it. I hope you can understand, because my english is not good enough for this kind of conversation. :)
Is it really a bad tune? My single cylinder KTM (and others like mine) pop and crackle when I've been hard on the throttle and come into a corner upshifting and breaking hard (i'm sure if it was night time you'd see some flamage too).
When you snap the throttle off, the butterfly closes, all that fuel has to go somewhere and if there's no more oxygen coming in the intake i just thought it found it on the way out? Or is it just too much fuel in the first place?
this may sounds like a stupid question, but how did you get it to light up? (i.e., did you modify? It simply can't do that on it's own! If so, I am going to buy one this week...lol)
