I went to Scotland last year. It was freezing and rained non-stop. The only food was haggis, deep fried Mars Bars and shortbread & everyone is fat. All the men are transvestites & the women look like men. I couldn't understand a word anyone said & everyone had false teeth. Most of Scotland is sparsely habited due to the midge plague. Most children have MS due to the appalling weather & the oldest person is 50-years-old. I couldn't sleep due to the 24-hour-a-day bagpipe playing. Avoid.

@celpabedn Because it can't, its not a prosperous enough nation to be fully independent and if it broke from England there would be much more poverty and recession then there already is. They use English money for example just with their own pictures on it and if became independent it would probably be using the Euro, and the Euro is fucked. Take a look at Ireland for example, They recently started using the Euro and look at the mess they're in.

Moray died from his wounds then Wallace was defeated at Falkirk on 1st April 1298. He was replaced as Guardian by Robert the Bruce and John Comyn sometime in the summer of 1298. So he was actually Guardian for sometime between about 8 and 10 months - not the 8 years you suggest!

I used to love this film, but now I've grown up, it pisses me off!, stereotypical, cheesy, pipes used are the Irish Uilleann pipes, most scenes are set in Ireland, and the director is Australian, and the history in it is mixed up and played with, and it is very one-sided against England and so on..

I reamber the first time i went into combat. I was riding in a chinook with a whole sqaud of vertens I was the only greenhorn. Wallace defeated an English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, and was Guardian of Scotland, serving until his defeat at the Battle of Falkirk. In 1305, Wallace was captured in Robroyston near Glasgow and handed over to King Edward I of England, who had him hanged, drawn, and quartered for high treason.

@coldharvest Wallace and Andrew de Moray the joint victors at Stirling were apointed Guardians sometime after the battle which happened on 11th Sept 1297. Moray died from his wounds then Wallace was defeated at Falkirk on 1st April 1298. He was replaced as Guardian by Robert the Bruce and John Comyn sometime in the summer of 1298. So he was actually Guardian for sometime between about 8 and 10 months - not the 8 years you suggest!
