Great that's the way to do it. Let's just blame everybody for our problems and take no responsibilty whatsoever. There were warning signs before the whole Madoff thing blew up. People didn't care because of the high returns. Perhaps it was the investors who were greedy, but of course you didn't think about that. So shut your damn cake hole and continue doing...what ever it was you were doing.
I think not, he's in a minimum security federal prison, he's probably in there with a load of other white collar criminals.
Besides, who knows how much cash he has access to? A few billion dollars can buy a lot of special priveleges you know, especially when prison guards make the wages they do.
There's never a good time for that much money to disappear from Wall Street & since we're in the middle of a rough patch, most people (minus Octomom) are trying their best to survive on what they earn in a honest&above board way. We're trying to be frugal& reasonalbe so it bugs us when people like Madoff come forth&have lived well at our expense. Madoff should go to jail (& not get out of this due to his political connections) to send a message to people that we willn't tolerate this behaviour.
