  • That is a .gif wallpaper, not live like Android xD

  • This is the best phone I have had till now. Other samsung wave owners can join me at mysamsungwave . com to download themes, apps, games and much more for our beloved Wave.

  • Whats the wallpaper at 1:58 calledm i have been looking for it for ages ? thanks

  • @DaannnnyB

800tsifriki.gif I got it from mobinations, made/posted by someone called tamerlan-aer

  • How did you get that theme on the wave? and the clock at 1:56? thanks

  • @DaannnnyB

You can find more themes at mysamsungwave or from the darforestgroup (I don't think we can post the direct links here) if they're not in your country's Samsung Apps choices. Those sites also have customized widgets as well as standard ones, you can get a lot of clock widgets there

  • @DaannnnyB

Google "Bada themes" and you'll find some web forums that detail how to install themes, some even have modded themes available on their sites.

The clock is a widget called "TimeWeather" You can get it also from those web forums.

  • Too slow.. Id like it to respond more smoothly...

  • @riverriz

Have you actually tried the phone? The response is very good.

But if you're talking about the animated gif backgrounds in the video, you can always choose faster moving gifs. I chose those ones because the movement looks like real water, any faster and it would look cartoony. The fish through the cracks doesn't have enough frames in between so it looks choppy, but I just grabbed it off the net and you could just go look (or make) better ones

  • @pinoywave

I use this phone, i know this phone. The GIF images run smooth in the file manager, but not when set as wallpaper.. And the Cracked screen with the fish, it runs a lot smoother than it does when set at wallpaper and has enough frames, i know that cus i also had that image on my phone.. I wud luv it if they wer smoother, but they're not, so Rather stick to 1200x800 size wallpapers.

Try upgrading the firmware. Mine runs better after upgrading, even as background gifs moves as smoothly as in My Files or Media Browser.

I still find the goldfish through crack lacking in frames compared to the moving water images. I saw a smoother koi fish swimming wallpaper, but its in .swf and can't be used as wallpaper.

  • @pinoywave

Ive got the Latest firmware. It still needs more work though, so probably wait for the next FW upgrade.

On another topic: Would u know wer to get the travel theme from? Ive heard a lot about it but havnt seen any pics of it.

  • @riverriz

I think that travel theme is now officially an urban legend. =D

They now have nine different themes aside from Lismore in mysamsungwave, plus variations of those nine. The only other theme spotted for real (online with a screenshot of samsung apps selling it for 3 pounds) that still isn't there is blue wave. Travel theme on the other hand, I think, is still just word of mouth...no one can show a screenshot or anything about how it looks...

  • NICE video.

I couldnt find those animated gif 480*800 pix

WOuld u plz suggest a site

Also Your UI seems different(bubbles on the icon), HOW?

    Thanks In Advance

  • @MINforMAX

Animated gifs available at mobinations. (I can't seem to post the actual links here). Just search for 480x800 wallpapers.

The drippy UI uses the Dewdrop theme. Additional themes are available at Samsung Apps, or visit mysamsungwave and go to the themes forum

  • Search for "animated gif 480x800" you will get results of sites that feature wallpapers/images.

Download any animated gif and transfer the file to your phone

From your phone, navigate to the file in either Media Browser or My Files

Bring up the context menu ("..." at the bottom of the screen) and select Set As > Wallpaper.

That's it! When you go to your homescreen, you'll find the moving background as your wallpaper.

    Enjoy!

  • great!

  • @BeastBeuty

    thanks!

  • how is this possible?

    please share :)

  • @bombinxile

Any animated gif sized 480x800 can be used as moving backgrounds, similar to live wallpapers in android (though not touch interactive). On the other hand, any HD wallpaper sized 1280x800 and above become scrollable widescreen backgrounds spread across all your (3 to 10) homescreens .

The drippy widgets come from a Bada theme called Dewdrop
