@wwwgeekdotcom instant coffee isn't finely ground coffee. It's premade coffee that has been dehydrated so that all of the moisture is gone. It's like if you made a pot of coffee but got rid of the water. there's no coffee bean, just coffee residue powder. When you add water you rehydrate it.

I have a friend who is a store manager and she gave me a few packs to try. I tried the Colombian Medium. It was pretty darn good. I was surprised. I had it dark with only a splash of milk. Great smell and very tasty. I'm hearing mostly negative reviews but maybe only the Colombian one is good. I haven't tried the other ones. Personally I think Starbucks is way overrated but whatever...

i prefer Nescafe brand... i'm not sure if they have it in the US, but in the Philippines, they have an awesome tasting thing, instant coffee with sugar & creamer in it already..... It tastes great!

To correct you, instant coffee is essentially astronaut coffee - coffee that has had the water removed.

Turkish coffee actually uses the finest ground beans, involving lots of sugaring and boiling in a cool thing called an ibrik.
