If you don't have rubbing alcohol take a normal spray and put as much as you can in a glass or a recipied so it will make a liquid (sprays got danat alcohol or something similar, for me it worked) and put the pen parts in that and it will take the paint out of that pen parts.

you forgot to splash the bottle with the pens in it with a little alcohol to get a little more ink out of it. if you shake it you can get alot of color off the sides, it wont be "watered down" if you dont go crazy with the alcohol

You will need atleast 75 pens to get a strong colour for the amount he made. Also dont forget to add 3 drops of dot3 brake fluid to make it dry slower
