XenoSaga 1 was an absurdely horrible game. 1 Battle Track for a 40hr+ game, half the character cast annoying, bad synchronisation, boring and bad balanced fighting system, and every 3 hours comes some space ship or station TEN TIMES larger than the last one. I'm not kidding here, the characters are amazed every time, and the penultimate dungeon, as big as a small planet, is some sort of key for the last one which is as big as half a star system.

For me it's a tie between Xenosaga 3 and Xenogears (love both of them very much). Xenosaga 2 is like Xenogears disc 2, except multiplied by 10. Xenosaga 1 drags a bit, but is a solid game. Most people tend to prefer Xenogears over any of the Xenosaga games, though.

I personally recommend playing all of the Xeno games, except Xenosaga 2, that one you can just watch all the cutscenes on youtube.

i dunno i prefer to think of Xenogears and Xenosaga being two different worlds but having similar plot devices and such. It feels easier that way.

I've heard that Xenosaga is Xenogear re-vamped with some twist and turn in the story line 'cause Square still have the right on xenogear...And the other thing I've heard is that xenosaga is a pre-quel to xenogear... Before the Deus system is created ...

This is one of my favorite town themes in all the games I've ever played. "Xenogears" has an amazing soundtrack; I think it's the best thing Yasunori Mitsuda's ever done. The synth sounds are amazing as well - why didn't they give Nobuo Uematsu sounds like this for his "Final Fantasy" soundtracks (particularly FF7)??

Impossible to compare. Both worked so well with the game they were intended for. Xenogears' music has the advantage of having layers of richness to them, while Chrono Trigger's OST was just perfect for the feel of the game.

One of the Greatest songs ive ever herd in This game and in RPG song history,i could listen to this song over and over again for Hours,sadly Namco had to buy out Square in the Xeno series and Ruined it -__- id much rather see a Xenogears 2 then Xenosaga or at least a Remake of Xenogears

Yup this game is really good.. i played this game 5 years ago and to me its the best story ever written and the VGM really takes you to the game.. the gameplay is cool too.. its old though and i would wish for them to remake this to newer version, like the remake of FFVII.

THERE IS NO REMAKE OF FF7 MAN!square never told anything official or that could even hint that(Except the ps3 hardware test but that was just to test as the name tells). BUT I agree with you saying that they should remake the game that would be rly great.

@Xelrac7 at this point, square needs to remake FF7 to stay alive, 13 was a bit of a flop, it looked nice, but the story was confusing, they never really explained anything, plus there isnt really any exploring element to the game either. we need to see old games revitalized in my opinion, many of them, if their graphics were improved to at least FF13 standards, it would be an orgasm for the eyes and would still be an epic game. imagine Chrono Trigger with DQ8+ graphics, THAT would be EPIC.

chill the hell out, Im going to assume you havent even considered that DQ and Chrono Trigger are illustrated by the same person. Im also going to assume from your attitude that you dont even think graphics matter at all. when used correctly, graphics add to immersion, if it was like DQ8 level of graphics, you would feel like you are following Chrono and his friends more so than with the 2D sprites of the SNES. though with Square the way it is now, i dont want them trying that...
