this is the look of gutted ! , man you should always make sure the battery is securley held in place ! cable tie's , velcro pads , but another thing i like to do is wrap the battery lead that plugs in the Rx around and then use a zip tip to hold the batt and both servo leads together , get the zip tie as close to the plugs that fit into the Rx , that way if batt does move or get jolted out of place the wires zip tied together will stop the batt plug being pulled out completley !

Did a similar thing to mine, WOT through some grassy wasteland and hit a reinforced concrete block that was halfway submerged in to the ground. My fault for not checking the area i was running in. Unless you were running without the radio box lid on i can't see how the batteries fell out, i suspect daft driving was to blame ;) Then again if it cost you £270 to fix i'd tell the girlfriend that as well lol!

@crazybritishlad I think people are actually referring to a "killswitch", which is an electronic relay that is controlled by the receiver's third channel. It will cut the engine in the event of; Receiver battery becoming disconnected or any other power failure, loss of signal between transmitter and receiver and when you press the 3rd channel button, which comes in handy if the throttle servo jams and simply so you can cut the engine without using the button on the engine. Simples.

All i was saying is fail safes need power other wise they dont work, any way by no means im no RC expert all i have used is a Venom fail safe/ temp monitor and that is hooked up to my nitro car.
