I think most people over 40 years old like myself went through the ordeals of accepting ourselves and of making amends with our religious upbringing. The day I left the church and made amends with my very own concept of God, life opened up to me. Now I lead a life away from the church, (though not away of God) and I have a partner who I love and share my life with. He still goes to Church and doesn't have issues like me. I can't go to mass, because I know the Catholic Church position.

Religious groups treat behavior & sexual orientation as the same, but research shows it's not. They both can behave independently. A straight person can engage in same sex behavior, but it won't affect their attractions to the opposite sex. If you are bi and attracted to both sexes, you can change your sexual behavior but not attractions.
Looking back and forth just trying to find a cure for homosexuality is very hard. Pretty simple answer to this: if you were born with tendencies to be attracted to the same sex, God commands that you don't act on it.

I think most people over 40 years old like myself went through the ordeals of accepting ourselves and of making amends with our religious upbringing. The day I left the church and made amends with my very own concept of God, life opened up to me. Now I lead a life away from the church, (though not away of God) and I have a partner who I love and share my life with. He still goes to Church and doesn't have issues like me. Religious groups treat behavior & sexual orientation as the same, but research shows it's not. They both can behave independently. A straight person can engage in same sex behavior, but it won't affect their attractions to the opposite sex. Pretty simple answer to this: if you were born with tendencies to be attracted to the same sex, God commands that you don't act on it.
I have within me the desires to pursue money, pride, and to have all the sex with various women that I want, BUT, just because I was born with those desires, does that mean I should accept them as part of my life? Are they permissible? No! I'm supposed to obey God's Word no matter what. Life in Heaven is FAR greater than ANYTHING this life has to offer...

I really admire this man! All the stuff he went through to understand what I learned at the age of 26 after thinking about killing myself. I had to visit several doctors/psychiatrists to understand that being gay doesn't mean U R a bad person, or that God will hate U. I know deep inside, that God created me and He loves me just as I am, one day when we talk face to face, He'll have to explain why I was born liking boys, not girls. I never had a chance to take a blue pill. It doesnt exist.

The parts that you refer to come from the consciousness of ego and duality, and there are yet other parts that are cultural in nature. Kuabci, God allows all sorts of people to exist, but not all of their qualities are of His creation. Gay people have an innate romantic/sexual/emotional attachment to members of the same sex because the good Lord, in all His wisdom, planned it that way. Of course you can fight against God's will if you need and want to, because you have free choice, but in the end, why argue with the Lord? He's never going to change His plans to suit you. Isn't it better to accept reality? Trust the Lord!
