Its was scary in Silent Hill 2 because of the subtly of him appearing myseriously out of the shadows but never appearing in a way that would turn him into what Nemesis was for Resident Evil 3, just a menacing and mysterious figure.

@Arexion5293 This is how I see it, Pyramid head is all of James Sunderlands repressed memory's. He and Heather both co-exist in the same timeline (Cause James and Mary are mentioned by the detective in SH3 as well as mentioned by James's dad who owns the apartment complex in SH4: The Room.) So there is a high chance that we MIGHT catch a glimpse of James in SH: Revelations. =D
@exammaster But the thing is, if you see a certain monster in Silent Hill, it has something to do with you. Like the Abstract Daddy in SH2 was symbolising sexual abuse but it also looked the one on top was strangling the being under it.

I lie what I see here. :) I am really excited for the next Silent Hill film. It looks like they did well with the sets, and the casting. Oh about the skirt? It's cold in Toronto, where the film is being shot I would imagine, so I'm guessing that's why she does not have a skirt like in the game. And they need to change things in the movies, or else it would be boring. You would know who lives, who dies, how and when they die. If it was the exact same, you may as well just go play the games again.
If I could guess I'd say pyramid head and rose are only going to be in the very beginning as part of heather's dream when she is asleep at the mall. But I always get these things wrong.

@Chewy2nd I think a movie based off a game shouldn't use already used characters in past games, but should at least stay cannon to the series (something the piece of shit resident evil movies did not do).
@8692brent well if they are going to change to much why bother keeping a similar storyline or even characters they might as well create a new storyline and characters. I say if your going to recreate something in the form of a movie should keep to the original plot for the most part. Now if there are little changes like a small scene replacement or something that does not change the plot or the atmosphere then I don't mind.
also what some many people fail to understand is that each monster/demon symbolizes something pertaining to the protagonist, so it's pointless for pyramid head to exist in this movie unless they make some symbolic connection to the Heather the protagonist.

@Paloomi Running around in a short skirt in games is easy to do, I'm no woman but I can bet its next to impossible to do in a movie that involves stunts, for example there was around a hundred versions of Rose's costumes used in the first film due to wear and tear. @TheVGGP I looked it up and turns out, in the Movie Heather has a boyfriend who will aid her journey. If I recall Silent Hill fear was that you were completely ALONE in a town that hates you. Add a Boyfriend with possibility of a silly relationships scenes, it totally gets rid of the ALONE experience that Silent Hill is known for.
