Hey, I have an Athlon 64 X2 4000, 2GB DDR2 and a 8600GT and no matter what detail I set or what resolution, UT3 lags badly. As far as I know this game should fly on my PC. I tried everything but couldn't find a solution. I guess it's the stupid Unreal Engine.
my rig is around 3 years old and I havent changed a thing yet but it still runs lots of games with no lag. just installed left4dead and it runs beautifully :)
how many people still play this game online? i need to know before i go out and buy it for pc. If no one plays it anymore i might as well go for the 360 version
i dont see why people are like omg what a weak computer .. if it can run games well on playable fps then why pay 100's of pounds more for fps you dont need ! i mean jesus .. how flipin stupid.. 8600 is the max u will need for games exept crysis but crysis sucks anyway .. lol
I have a generic computer with P4 Prosessor at 2.40Ghz, 1024 ram at 400Mhz (ddr, PCI3200 each one), 128 nVidia video card, 40 HD (crap) and it runs everything exept windows vista new games that require a SHITLOAD, A MONSTER as a computer in prosessor, ram memory, and video card, i dunno on the US (im not from there) the price for a monster PC in there on any store, if any1 can tell me an avrage price plz? Ty (over here are expensive as hell)
800-1000 dollars. Don't buy from walmart or whatever your local major chain store is.Find someone to build it for you, Get a 2.6 or faster dual core processor, 2 gigs of ram, a GF6600gt or ATI HD3*** series card, and a Agea Physix card and also say you want a good name brand PSU, like PC power and Cooling, Antec, or Seasonic (nothign sucks more than having a $1500 rig and a $20 power supply shorts adn demolishes it).
That will be plenty to play it in a rather high resolution smoothly. And thats' from Cliffy's mouth himself (Cliffy B made the original Unreal, he owns Epic.)
I have a Athlon XP 3200 2 gig of ram and a GF 6800XT, it's barely enough. I plan on saving up around $800 to make a rig that can play it with ease at resolutions higher than my current monitor supports. Kinda future proof it. ;)
can someone tell how much space i need on HDD to install de demo?!i have 15Gb freespace and it tell me that it is not enough space....the demo i downloaded has about 750Mb...and i have a Hdd of 40Gb(i know,is small)!!pls,i wait an answer....PLSSSSS

Would a Pentium 4 HT 3.06ghz bottleneck a 8600GT 256mb GDDR3 ? Please reply!
lavenpine88 2 years ago
On this game, yes, my Pentium 4 w/ HT 3.2 bottlenecks sometimes even at 4 ghz, but only when I overclock my card a lot.

what resolution can you set without fraps and a good framerate?

What about my Specs:
Ram(memory):4GB
Graphics: 1GB Asus 8500GT
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66GHZ)
Good Enough??
victordeleon1962 3 years ago
I had the same specs. (8500 gt) I ALWAYS get an error message with a result of a memory error called kernel32.dll I still get the error message.
KingCitaldo125 3 years ago
Sorry if I'm repeating mjtc13 down there, but I have the same question. Here are the specs for my PC:
OS: Window's Vista H. Premium 64-bit
RAM: 6.00 GB
Vid Card: In the process of upgrading to a GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad 2.40 Ghz.
I'm pretty sure if it runs on the one below then it'll run on mine too, but better safe than swearing a lot. Thanks!

I'm upgrading from a 7300LE to this, and I feel a lot better watching this video.
I suppose I gotta lower texture and shadow at 1650x1050?

Taoku 3 years ago 3

the agea card is useless, thats a poor recomendation. you would be buyign it just for this game, the only one that supports it...
