It's amazing how time changes the perspective of people. When I saw this as a kid, I always thought the principle was cheering Mihoshi on for making it on time.

Now as a grown man, I can clearly see he was pissed that she was late.

Yep, Tenchi is only god in the ova and ryo ohki series. He won't have light hawk wings in this movie. Its because Kiyone is in the movie. She is only in universe and in tokyo.

they never said.... he just ends up a guy in the midst of a bunch of girls i guess. Maybe he sleeps with one, then the others get jelous and he has to be with them for them not to feel completely betrayed. No matter how things go, there will be hell with them fighting over him. wether he gets somethings good out it (not an innuendo, it could be anything, be it happy memories or what you with gutter heads are thinking[im not talking directly to you SYST, unless u are one])depends on what he does.

Ryoko rescues him from another world and after that he just accepts that they both have feelings for each other.

Ayeka just stays with sasami and mioshi and everybody else in the temple it shows her looking sad at the end and the film ends with tenchi and ryoko smiling together in the forest.

It's really hard to tell, but if you have netflix and search "tenchi", you will find all the movies and episode series. I looked at the dates (which are listed in the description) of release to detirmined which episode series to watch first. As far as the movies being in sync with the episode series, I don't know. If you don't have netflix then ignore this message.

this movie is my favorite out of the bunch, features some old school drama with an entertaining plot, great characters, and good adventure. A true anime classic, #3 is excellent, it was like growing up along with the characters #2... is decent.
