can i get a virus when i download on XP a Virus ? Like im Downloading a Virus at XP Mode can i get the virus on Windows 7 ?

@7eXsM unlikely. If you get a virus on xp it should and will not affect Windows 7

we still can get window xp mode for free,just follow the thing that I haved type:

What we will need is :

1)virtual box

2)window xp iso

first,download virtual box and install it.

After installing,create a virtual machine in it and install window xp in it.

After installing,boot from it and log on,go to the menu on top called machine,then select streamless mode.

Then go to the taskbar settings and set it to auto hide the taskbar.Afterthat it will look like window xp mode and works fine

@theplayer296  The only way you can get the Windows Xp iso for vmware workstation is to be a MSDN Subscriber other than that you have to purchase Windows XP

ho ho ho hollup! at 3:11 in xp mode it says your running on 512Mb, does that mean your 7 is on 512? or is that how much it allocated to xp? cuz how is that possible to run 7 512Mb with out some tweaking?

Thanks for the reply, I've used both browsers and still no joy, I've been told it is something to do with the 71033 update whcih has to be removed and then (slmg) software license manager needs to be used to re-register windows then re validate but I can't find any info on the command prompts required and syntax. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks,

I'm having an issue just downloading XP mode from MS site. I select OS and language and it prompts me to validate, I validate and then go to download again and it asks me to validate and the loop begins.

@blackhoody76 I would reccomend using Internet Explorer to Download it, If you still have issues try Firefox but you should be using Internet Explorer to download it.

@feli515 chances are it will lag, and it doesn't support direct x or any 3D graphics, this is really meant for programs and incompatible programs for Windows 7

@Hardy123Zhao I will not say no, to be honest though if you get a virus on Xp in Xp Mode it shouldn't effect your regular computer and vise versa. I don't know how sophisticated Viruses could be so it could be possible but I would say highly unlikely

@Hardy123Zhao sorry this isn't included with Windows 7 Home Premium edition , If you wan't to run Windows Xp over Home Premium check out Virtualbox (Google it)

however you need a Windows Xp CD and it's not free

@scott1812 my greatest guess would be that it wouldn't work any 3D games will not work for this, Your best bet would be looking for a way to run it directly under Windows 7, I would check about the compatibility mode, and find a way to make it run
