I am a sword performer, probably the youngest performer in Wisconsin, and i have done many shows.... the way she holds her sword is UNEXCEPTIONABLE.... you are hearing this from a 14 year old ..................

Okay I am a bellydancer, and I have to say Rania is not showing just bellydancing, its sword bellydancing, its different and there is much more to balancing in this dance and the sultryness. So yeah she isnt laughing, cause its a seductive dance, and you giggle or smile with a sharp blade on your head and hip, and do a little better dancing then that, and then come back and leave your comments sweet heart. (muah)

definitely not a Belly Dance Superstar, although she's been part of that troup. a bellydancer is supposed to be someone who is excellent in technique and exudes charm, someone the audience falls in love with. she is like a robot, gives an impression she is not enjoying it. bottomline: terrible...

She moves too fast and waaaaay to much for this song... This should be an emotional and very powerful dance. She just seems to want to show off where she can balance her sword and focuses way too much on her hair. Pull it back if it's annoying. >.>

Balancing a sword on your hip is a trick - the same as balancing it on your hands/shoulders/head - whatever you balance your sword on. It doesn't mean you can dance. I don't think she allows herself to be gracious to the music or the movements she's using. She seems to just do everything all at once and look like a wriggly piece of spaghetti. I personally dislike this style of dancing. It's not true to the music and doesn't allow the movements to be beautiful individually.

You are right - she is skilled, but only in technique, she can't express the music at all, she has no expression on her face...

@Queenishtar777 Criticism can be good or bad, it's all how we take it. This girl has no coordination, is incredibly stiff and no sense of rhythm/musicality. It's almost an insult to any good dancer to encourage or ignore someone who needs improvement. I really don't understand how she became a bellydance superstar.. and yea give me a few months, can definitely pass her up.

lol this was too funny! thanks for posting! i've always heard she was a crap dancer, but i was never sure if i'd be able to tell, if i saw it for myself! thankfully i was! and i agree, it is crap! i'm so thankful i have the teacher i do.

Wow...I am not one to post negative comments about people, but really....that was pretty awful. She was so stiff (she's usually a bit stiff, but this was the worst I've seen her) and she looked like a deer caught in headlights the whole time. All the little "tricks" she can do really don't make up for the lack of grace and musicality.
