My sons truck only turns left. I think I need to change the servo, what do I need and how do I go about doing it please help. I live in Hilo Hi. And no one works on these.

I got one of these in 2010 and I think I've had to replace nearly every part on it. It is a horrible quality truck. I don't recommend it!

Hi I am very interested in the calderas as I have had the redcat tornado before and loved it,but I am not sure which one to get. I am looking for speed and jumps. Should I get the buggy, truck or desert truck, which one do you think gave the best performance? Also will a 3s lipo fry the electronics?

hey ali! Just got one of these and its a beast !! Do you think a 8.4v nimh would fry the electrics as im thinking to plug it in and run it?? + the limit of how far you can drive this is really poor. it does about 40mph and then loses signal where i cant stop it and it just rolls into a curb and BANG!!! Front arm snaps ! I done this 3 times now! Kinda frustrating when its suposed to be glitch free 2.4ghz, its glitching more than a toy 27mhz

@kk9521 do not go up on volts, you will fry the electronics. keep the volts same and go high on mAh. 10000mAh even. you get more power and more run time

@alishanmao in the post before you said you ran a 3s lipo (12.6v) then you tell kk9521 you cant run a 8.4v nimh which is only slightly faster then a 2s lipo, but slower acceleration? as as for mah, its more c rating that gives it the power, mah gives run time. volts will give the most power. a batteru that will allow more amps to be pulled from it will allow it to run cooler and have some more pep but nothing that voltage would do. plus higher voltage and lower gearig makes it more efficient

I didn't realise it has reverse. After you break tap it two more time and you get reverse.

0MG I HAVE WAY TO MANY QUESTIONS!!! last question, which buggy is better, redcat caldera or the exceed rc sunfire, sunfire isnt brushless, but like i said before, i am hesitant buying a brshless setup from a really small brand, its probaly not very fast anyways(maybe 45mph)

right now i have a losi strike, but i want to get something a lot faster.  I am thinking of getting a losi speed t, because that us brushless. My budget is around 275$. This is a brushless 4wd monster truck, so i thought this is probably great for bashing, but since redcat is sort of a unknown, small brand, i thought maybe the brushless system is crappy, so i dont know what to get. Also, i want something that can go 60 mph+ or maybe a little bit under that. Somebody please recomend something

Can you waterproof these? I am debating between one of these or the Stampede. It seems I get more truck for the money with the Redcat but that is worthless if I have to wait for it to be dry to run it, I live in Washington State so it rains ALL the time.

This truck is good for warm weather. But when snow is falling you need to think how to protect it from water.

@IgorLeznin not at all... this thing is a monster in the snow - i put ground pounder tires on it (used a slightly modded jato body and trimmed front bumper). i run with a 5000mah lipo and it is an indestructible good time. my truck gets fully caked with snow while running and now problems.

i just received my caldera 10e today. looked it over. checked everything out. charged up the battery and when i hit the throttle the motor pinion slips on the spur gear. i checked the gear mesh and it seams pretty good. not too tight. not too loose. i adusted it both ways and it still grinds before it engages in foward or reverse. there is nothing wrong wit the spur or the motor pinion. is this how they just are? is there anything i can do to correct this problem that you know of? thank you..

im about to buy my first hobby grade rc. this looks like a good truck, i plan on tearing up the yard and walking / atv trails. the only specs i desire are RTR brushless, lipo ready, 4wd and 1:10. i was about to buy a propulse t100 but it just looks too small at 1:18.

hey man, awsome looking truck got the same engine in my slash, one question, i have a caster zx1.5r and have bought some rechargable batteries because local hobbie shop told us to because it took off with a failsafe, but just running non-recharge batteries, was wondering if it could still take off and if it can, what would be the problem/s cheers mate looking foward to a running video :)

@2much0wnag3 if even with failsafe installed it takes off, that means failsafe is not programmed right. see and program is to stop in case of no signals.

@fastandfurioustokyo To be honest, its good performer on 7.2v 3800mAh stock NiMh battery, but when you put a 7.2v 5000mAh NiMh or a 7.4v 3200mAh 35C Lipo, it turns into what you just mentioned. :D videos are coming soon
