According to geologist Pierre Saint-Amand, due to the specific mineralogy of the sediments found on the surface of Owens Lake, pumping water onto the surface is exacerbating -- not eradicating -- its dust problem; not to mention the half-billion dollar money pit this so-called "project" on the lake surface is costing L.A. taxpayers.
