Sorry, I have gone and deleted a post by accident from a user who went to africa and used this same camera. Im sorry for deleting the comment I accidentally pressed delete instead of reply.
In reply to the question asked about playing movies back on a mac, you need the plug in called avc1 decoder. But first did you shot in HD or FHD, cause if it was FHD it wont turn out good I still cant get it to work properly but HD works like a dream.
Don't quote me on this but Im pretty sure the only thing holding you back in recording length will be the size of the SD card, IM not sure on numbers but I have recorded 10 mins length of slow mo before so in most cases thats more than enough, I usually only record a couple of seconds.
Ok Heres my opinion on the Casio EX-F1, I love it I think its a fantastic camera, but not perfect. It is really ahead of its time and worth the cash, the HD video is amazing, the slow mo is a lot of fun, its easy to use and you hardly ever miss a shot but, It can get noisy in low light especially indoors, so shooting in slow mo especially you need a lot of light. Also its got a fixed lens so it lacks the flexibility of what a SLR can offer, not a problem for me as I have a Casio EOS 400D also.
Slow mo is at a mucher lower res, due to the increase of frames, so the the slower you go the less the resolution. 1200fps is a really weird super wide screen, but is cool none the less.
I was blown away when I put the HD on my computer at HD (not FHD) Im having issues with FHD, Im trying to find the right plug in as the software is PC only and I have a mac, but HD is amazing. Not sure about compression.
I hope that has helped, I may do a review on it not sure.
Just thinking about some movie shooting. I have started to search couple days ago and first what i have found was Samsung VP-HMX20C. It have slowmo too but only 10 second :( of 300fps and in 448x336 resolution. That why i asking about all stuff in this camera. Thanks for solution.
Oh yeah Canon 400D Whoops... Yeah the EX-F1 is good for movie shooting, it would be good if they made the same camera but in the shape of a camcorder, well im glad I helped you out a bit, let me know if you get one :)
