Memama and OcultOprah, I read NEW EARTH, and enjoyed it immensely. It helped me to lesson the angry, accusatory, self-deprecating part of myself and return to who I am at the Source. The fact that you reacted to the book in ANGER is dumbfounding, and your comment that Tolle is "demonic" is not only bewildering but frightening. You read the text--if you really did read it--from a narrow, rigid perspective. I will pray that a bit of Christ's loving presence might seep into your consciousness.

As you say, love is the true nature. Fear is the absense of love, of faith, of God. What Eckhart is saying is nothing new. He's not telling us anything we didn't already know. He's reminding of the truths that are written ,and have always been written, within our hearts. To the extent that we are able to listen to our hearts we will recognise this. To the extent that we listen to our egos, to our minds, to our conditionings, we will not recognise this.
