What do I do if I have a VGA male and HDMI all in one cord how do I make that work I'm so confused right now trying to get it to work do I have to have a converter even though its already all in one cord?

You can use the cable, but you wont get all the benefits of conversion. The cable will not convert the signal to digital. You may be happy with the quality and you may not get anything through the cable depending on what you are coming from and going to.

@StrikerZero8989 That cable is mainly used for computer to monitor. Although it does not do any conversion it will get a signal to a new monitor that has an HDMI port. To get a digital signal to the monitor you need the converter or a DVI- cable.

@spizec it is because it has to use an active converter, not a passive one (dvi to hdmi can be passive because it is both digital, vga is analog). It's like display port to dvi, you need an active converter.

I had a composite to hdmi converter from the same company. I wouldn't recommend this, it did increase my quality of my ps2 from 480i to 480p but would pause and cause problems randomly.

I bought this adapter for $40 because my Panasonic Viera tv only has HDMI inputs. It doesn't work. I tried all kinds of resolutions. Can you post a video of you actually using this device with a laptop and tv?
