To know whether you are right you would have to enter lennon's mind which, sadly, is impossible. Life isn't war, life is a struggle at times, but war is not a good metaphor for life. Finally, if everyone accepted war as a bad thing and put an end to it we wouldn't have to stop people like Hitler.

Nope, that's a false analogy. A good one might be that if everyone accepted crime as a bad thing we wouldn't have to use our police force. Armies would still be used in peacekeping missions, preventing nations that have started wars from invading or attacking other nations. You would have two defences against war, firstly all nations (or virtually all nations) agreeing to put an end to war and secondly all armies would be ready to deploy to prevent countries from attacking one another.

Argument is perfectly peaceful when done properly (if you look closely i took great pains never to try and insult my opponent, only to discredit his arguments.) If arguments were done away with we would never know who is right and who is wrong, an opinion is only valid while it continues to stand up to critiscism. Study the lives of most members of the early christian church and you'll see that they preferred martyrdom, being killed in horrible ways, rather than fighting anyone, that is the word of Christ, living in peace and accepting death rather than fighting.
