  • We're on a roll here with the 'girl name' song titles, great! Quite interesting about the pseudonyms... there was a fair amount of this going on during the time, wasn't there... almost like ghost writers!

  • @75capriceconvertible Thanks! That's right, during those years the band was paid for a recording session. It didn't matter how many copies were sold, ten or 10M, the pay was the same, so it behooved the leader to get as many different versions recorded as possible. This all changed with the ASCAP strike of 1942.

  • @VictrolaJazz OK that explains a lot, and interesting to know... thanks!

  • Another stellar Cameo!!!

  • @althazarr Thanks! I think so too!

  • I don't know the Reser's Syncopators arrangement but this one is very pretty good ! Thanks !

  • @lepaysandu Thanks! This is not quite as good as the Reser, but it's still very nice!

  • Whatever the name of the orchestra really was, this is very good! Those Cameos are always great.

  • @rordorica Yep, it's working again! Thanks! And especially Arthur Lange arrangements are very nice! I had a huge backlog of comments on several other records, too, so there must have been some clogs in the good ole' YouTube system!
