I have been looking at a lot of videos and websites about the Sand Scocher, I realy like the car and will be buying one soon, I like the idea of them being very easily customized and from what i can see they have a great deal of performance as well.
Keep up the good work and keep us posted on you're car.
Keithrx3c, Thank you for the information, I will take a look at that possibility type of controller. I am always open to cheaper ways to go. The receivers I know would be expensive but at 385 usd for the spectrum I am always looking for a better way to go. I hope that type of body paint will work for you let me know how it turns out please, and as always, Thank you for your comments
opps your right, Yeah it's the Spectrum dx3r is what I am looking into. Not sure though if I will go that route. I am still working on the body sanding and getting it prepped for painting. I would recommend do something that makes your body unique from other scorchers. I really wanted to try to do a Carbon fiber body look but I will have to change up that color. I will hopefully be testing some paints this weekend to see how it turns out. Thank you for your comments.
I like the song at the start, "Sympathy for the devil-Guns N Roses : ). Have you thought about the Futaba 2PL 2.4G radio? It only needs 4 AA's and would be cheaper than the Specktrum, mine cost about $150AU. You can run the 3 cars with the one transmitter but you'll need 3 separate recievers which on their own aren't cheap.
I'm thinking of doing my body in the French blue without any white, should look good I reckon.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing your Scorher finished . Cheers, Keith ; )
GREAT videos sandman! Love it when you said SPECTRE which I believe you meant Spektrum's radio system but that's all good. Waiting to get more ideas to start on my body as well. Need battery on mine :) Good luck and will be checking up on this!
I live in Arizona so it is all pretty much dessert if I can find some place not built up, or a place I do not get kicked off the lot by some stupid security person. but yeah I plan on doing videos both onboard and from my camcorder. Thank you for your comments. As soon as I get a good design I will post before / during (if I can) and after videos
Looking forward to seeing how the body turns out, gonna have to get mine built. Are you running the scorcher on the beach ? If you do make sure you film it. It's nice to see one that is not getting painted box art.

No probs mate, happy to help. The paint I have is the Tamiya TS in the French blue so there shouldn't be a problem with it.
