this was such a slow grower its now grown to the point its my hands down favourite hella album. looking forward to the new one, but all of them are such incredible musicians (carson mcwhirter especially) and they came together to make an absolutely massive and abrasive record.

This make me sick like the reading of the gospel made by the Pope and a chanting of a lesbian feminist. In the outer space I am sure devil is more strong.
anybody know who made the drumset that zach hill played at this show and throughout this tour. it has crazy colors and hologram graphics on it. any help would be appreciated
The new stuff grew on me. When I first heard of Hella, I was listening to "Hold Your Horse Is" and I liked that fact that everything was instrumental. Just guitar and drums. When I first heard the new stuff, I didn't really like it, but, it really grew on me, and it's fuckin' awesome. People who don't like the new stuff, just listen to the song, "World Series".
Yeah, at first I really didn't like their new album, but it seems to be growing on me as well. Maybe listening to "Ugrateful Dead" wasn't the best song to listen to. That song has the most mainstream sound (still very original and experimental), but I didn't like the way it lacked the free, uncontrolled style of the previous albums. But their other songs seem alot better.
this shouldn't be called hella. i would have no problem with spencer and zach doing a different project with singing and other members, but it's not hella, and it shouldn't be called hella. this band is an example of great musicians wasted.
if you have respect for their old projects you ought to have respect for their new projects no matter if you like them or not... and no matter what they feel like calling them.
at first i disliked new hella but i figured this has to be the sound the band wants now and if it's good enough for them it's good enough for me. and i have now acquired a taste for them.. however the singing live is a little extravagant sounding. think of new hella more along the lines of a new primus. the music is still excellent as well

No, this song is "There's no 666 in Outer Space."
There is a song that repeats that sentence over and over and it's called "2012 and Countless"

although they do start playing it later in the video.

it's hard to hear what he's saying, I've read that it's just there's no 666 in outerspace repeted over and over

no. this was there original intention since they left their first band "legs on earth". it just never happened until 2007.

The new album is great, but this singer just sucks live. He sounds like a dog with peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth.
