  • I was working for AmeriCorps during that winter and was pulled into doing disaster relief for Flag. Just an unholy amount of snow.

  • @postmann1000 no obviously but yes it snows in arizona. In 2010 we got 2nd most snow in the United States!

  • the ravens are tough, they don't give up.

  • can i be -40c in flagstaff?

  • Those god damn ravens are still looking for a trash bin to get into! I cant stand their early morning crowning!!

  • Yes, Flagstaff is in the north central part of Arizona at around 7.,000 feet above sea level (a volcanic mountain). Today it is almost 60 degrees F -- completely opposite of what it was this time last year. Unbelievable!

  • @sgormanski1 It's possibly caused by this nasty La Nina we're right in the middle of, it's causing most of the southwest to be mild and dry, While the Pacific northwest is getting above average precipitation, and the midwest got hammered with snow quite a few times since January. Next winter might be worse since post-La Nina Winters tend to be colder.

  • @Pipil63: North central AZ, about a 2 and a half hour drive from the heat of Phoenix lol

I'm hoping to move up there from the valley one day, though.

  • Im going there this weekend, [sunday], Its gonna be a blast to see all that snow!

  • where exactly is this place? Arizona has wniter like us in canada?

  • @pipil63

    Flagstaff is in central AZ.

It is quite a contrast from the rest of the state!

It snowed on me in June once while I was there!

  • love it... the winter I leave Flag for Upstate NY, it snows... go figure...
