  • Do u live in Japan?an do u speak japanese?Just curious

  • Are there any western beers out there in japan such as carlsberg or strongbow?

  • Do you know what is the drinking age limit of alcohol in Japan ? 20 years ?

  • yep....20

  • Whats the Alcohol % on the Japanese Beer?

  • normally about %5

  • great video!! I love Kevin's videos and Kansai PJs'. To grow my English ability up, I watch those videos.

By the way, right pronunciation for いちばん桜 is "Ichi-ban ZAKURA", I think.

We can read 桜 as "SAKURA". But if there're any words in front of 桜, We read it " XX ZAKURA".

yeah, Japanese is difficult, but for me, English is very very difficult...

  • good beer review. How much does beer go for in Kobe in general?

  • Did you really find Draft One that bad? I kinda like Draft One... for happoshu, it isn't bad. Much better than the stuff we reviewed previously.

How did you do on the run?

  • ICK! really?? I thought it was bad. Not as bad as the stuff fromthe first vid....but bad nonetheless!

Lets do a "bad beer collab" soon :)

    the run was good.

  • I love japanese beer. Actually when i was in Tokyo i tried as many as i could.

My favourite is Ebisu, the one in the black can.

    Ever tried an italian beer?

By tha way...i'm huge fan of Asashoryu ^^

  • I love the blacj Ebisu too! It's a world class beer. As far as the Asashoryu thing goes...we'll have to agree to disagree!

    Stay strong Hakuho :) hehe

  • hey kev, what the event where the people show their ass?

  • Maybe the Naked Festival?? Gimmeabreakman did a great video about that :)

  • At your local corner mart: Can you buy Bud or Miller or Heiny or Moosehead or Coors or Mich or Fosters or any of the sort? I threw Moose in cause I used to drink it as a younger man like it was going out of style.

  • hehe...the Moose! You can get Bud, Heiniken, and Guiness at any coner shop. Some bigger supermarkets sometimes have a widder selection....saw Miller a few weeks ago somewhere.

  • thanks for the reviews.

  • Glad you're liking them. I like making them :) hehe

  • I'm not too fond of ashai either. Give me a Yebisu, Kirin, or Sapporo. Better yet give me a non-Japanese beer.

  • I really like the Yebisu and Kirin. There are a few craft brews around, but they are insanely expensive.

  • Oh yeah mate, i love it when you recommend the second beer to all us youtubers like i m going to go down the pub and ask for a beer with flowers on it, i d get my head kicked in.

  • hehe...just make sure they give it to you in a glass and pour it under the bar!!! hehe....

  • Hay Kevin thanks for the video As for the brewski.

Stick with the Yerbasu.(sp) , Funny the beer companies play so many games to keep you looking for a good one.

There is a pretty good brew supply place in Osaka if you get inspired to brew, but it is only legal to 1 %....

I spent the winter there in Kobe a couple years ago and have been trying to get back ever since

  • Wow!!! Only legal to brew to %1. Man...that's so low. Takes most of the fun out of making beer...well...at least out of the drinking part :)

  • Hakuho is alright, but Takamisakari is the man! haha I'm glad Asa won though. Their needs to be somebody around to give Hakuho a run for his money.

  • I suppose that`s true, i just cant stand Asa`s cocky attitude. Hakuho seems more respectful and less arrogant...and he`s a kick-ass fighter! :)

  • First off, its always a good time for a beer review!!!

Tastes like sock and you still drink it... good man.

With the beer tax, on average how much is beer? Also is it illegal to make/distill your own brews/liquor?

  • average can of real beer is about 188-220yen at the supermarket...expensive. The hapochu stuff is between 100-140yen a can! As far as I know it`s ok to make your own beer. I should start doing that!!

  • You know, you can also just add sugar and yeast to any drink (fruit or otherwise), let it sit and you get wine. They gotta have some unique drinks over there you could play with. I use an empity water jug from a water cooler. Once you fill that up you get a mini keg of wine... trust me, you are the man at that point... or atleast you think you are lol.

  • Great week? Hardly ... I got 4 exams this week 4 hours each... D:

  • That sucks! Good luck on the exams :)

  • The one Chinese and Japanese restaurant I like to frequent has Sappuro, I believe the brand is called.

  • Regular Sapporo beer is quite good!

  • draft one..... yeah I won't be taking that from your fridge.

It cracks me up anytime you say "oh yeah, that's not good...." lmao.

  • Luckily you don't have to worry...aside from that one free sample, it will never see my fridge again!!! hehe

  • also, i am certain Draft One isn't a new beer. I lived in Japan from 2005 - 2007, and i had it then... maybe repackaged?

  • maybe that was it! They have a massive tv marketing campaign now....maybe just an image change.

  • disagree, draft one wasn't too bad... for a cheap beer, (and it was a lot cheaper than the other 'real' beers) i think it tasted remarkably like.. beer.

  • there ya go! I found it harsh though...we all have different tastes! :) Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

  • do they have american imports in japan? not the crappy american beers like bud or miller. more like the good micro brews like from goose island, great lakes or avery micro breweries?

also yes, i would have wanted a tshirt too

  • unfortunately no. the only American beer I've seen in Japan so far is Budweiser. I think there are some different ones here or there, but I haven't seen them yet!

    And yes...I wish I got the t-shirt :(

  • Even tho i've never actually been to Japan, they say that the Japanese have some of the most wide range flavors for ordinary stuff (beans, bear, soup, ice-cream etc.) and they're usually pretty weird, so i wouldn't go around trying anything that looks...beery. But on the other hand, if its for science and testing purposes, then... lol

  • Of course, this video was made purely for the sake of science and testing! All of my beer-related videos are ;)

  • yup. you should go to Ikebukuro, in Tokyo. There is a Sunshine City and they have the largest selection of ice cream flavours.

the regular ones, the seafood ones! etc

  • ah yes...that's the one in TokyoCooney's videos!!! I'd love to go there :)

  • Yup, I went and tried all kinds. Gotta love Tokyo for that. haha.

  • did you try the "Mamushi Ice Cream"? I wanna try snake ice cream :)

  • haha, no thankfully not. They were pretty expensive, but I did try around 10 flavours. Me and my friends shared them.

it was strange to see others actually ENJOYING snake ice cream. or octopus ice cream xD

  • How can you have so much energy after the marathon, wtb your energy level. :P

  • I'm a relatively "hyper" person! Most people I know especially hate the fact that I'm a "morning person"!! :)
