All branches had the BDU DCU up until the 90's Then the army went to ACU Marines followed around the same time. then the air force went to the ABU. Utilities is short for MCCUU(Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform).
Like I said they were always BDU's in all branches in the 90's( although they had nicknames that was the universal acronym) After that they changed to my last comment. The only branch now that use's BDU's would be the navy however not all of them where them.
They were never called BDU's in the 90's. i was in the Marines in the 90's and they were never, ever called BDU's except by the airforce and the army. the marines have been calling camouflage utilities since at least the Korean war, my father was a marine then. my brother was a marine in the 70's and 80's, still called them utilities, another brother in the marines during the 80's still called them utilities, myself and another brother in the 90's and they were still utilities.
BDU(battle dress uniform) Yes the marines call them utility's that does not mean they aren't BDU's. Look it up ask around get educated. I'm done trying to explain something this simple to you. Its just not getting through 1980's and 90's BDU's now its the MCCUU(Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform)

Yea couldnt last one week. None of these kids would last a week in my platoon. I did these excercises in the DEP program, forget comparing to bootcamp. Kid in black couldnt even do side straddle hops correctly. a simple ass exercise. Most people who call it weak are probably Marines and know what boot camp really is so Im pretty sure theyd last a week too.
For those who think that this is weak watch the video towards the end and look at the exercises that we are doing. I guarantee that those who are talking couldnt even last 1 week.

All branches had the BDU DCU up until the 90's Then the army went to ACU Marines followed around the same time. then the air force went to the ABU. Utilities is short for MCCUU(Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform).

Like I said they were always BDU's in all branches in the 90's( although they had nicknames that was the universal acronym) After that they changed to my last comment. The only branch now that use's BDU's would be the navy however not all of them where them.

They were never called BDU's in the 90's. i was in the Marines in the 90's and they were never, ever called BDU's except by the airforce and the army. the marines have been calling camouflage utilities since at least the Korean war, my father was a marine then. my brother was a marine in the 70's and 80's, still called them utilities, another brother in the marines during the 80's still called them utilities, myself and another brother in the 90's and they were still utilities.

Navy has there NBU or whatever they call it, it looks nothing like a BDU...but like water, they would be the only uniform aside from the DCU that would blend into the environment...ABU ACU...not so much. BDUs still blend into the woods...tho

So when you say "marine" instead of "Marine" you are indicating that a Marine is not a person in which case is incorrect.

Yea couldnt last one week. None of these kids would last a week in my platoon. I did these excercises in the DEP program, forget comparing to bootcamp. Kid in black couldnt even do side straddle hops correctly. a simple ass exercise. Most people who call it weak are probably Marines and know what boot camp really is so Im pretty sure theyd last a week too.
