  • *shark* hay guys guys watch me scare this human * RAWWRRRRR , bite top of cage , swim away* aha classic

  • thats the boat wildboyz was on.

  • Blah blah just creating unnecessary drama

  • There should be a TV show: Stupid Things White People Do; be in the water when there's a Great White nearby? Check. Bungee jump off a bridge? Check. Jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Check. Climb a mountain so tall that dozens that've tried died? Check. Rock climb by yourself and get your hand caught and then cut your own hand off? You get the idea.

  • Tenpast7en or something sharks have the STRONGEST bite power out of any animal in the world stupid duh!!

  • @MrBluePoisonAssassin nah they dont.... got about the same as us but they have serated edges on their teeth so they shake they prey around to hurt it...

  • Shark's like: fuck you dude.

  • If your in the jaws of a shark, you can always shove your thumb in the sharks eye, then it will release you.

  • @XxFinalFlashXx1 sharks have most of their sensory glands in their snout. so if you smack them on the nose it buggers them up and they let go. also if you punch them in the gills it screws up their breathing so they also let go. Sharks have no investigative tools other then their mouth. to determain if something is a food source they will bump and bite. also their bite pressure is the same as a humans. what does the damage is the serrated teeth when they shake their prey from side to side.

  • @ 2:00 the shark goes: "say that again cunt "

  • this lad is such a cock muncher!

  • What a sensationalised bunch of bullshit.

  • "cat watch out!!! theres a fucking gaint CAGE around you!"

  • what a cock head!

  • crybaby!

  • this video would be way more popular the sharks ate him. We could call it Shark Man.

  • Um hello it was looking. like what you would do if somthing/some one was in your teritory (front grass) you would be going up to them saying hello, please get the fuck off.

  • Awwww. He was just playing. Like a big lethal dog lol

  • LOL "I may not be here" WATCH OUT!

  • "if the top of the cage hadn't been just so, I may not be here"... -.- are you kidding me? the shark was doing nothing but just figuring out what the heck the cage is. after being played with (baited) for hours.. of course the shark is confused.. what do you expect?

  • the shark didn't even bite it looked like he was just checking out who was in the cage. simply curious

  • wooow he almost died,i shat myself watching this death defiant encounter...he probably didnt know there was a chance that there could be a shark in the area at all.....

  • over played,,he barely bit down..

  • total crap

idiotic post of what could be interesting footage

  • What a load,

If you are wearing a shark shield, you are going to fry it's tiny mind, period!

  • I can't believe they posted this

  • so im guessing because of this video its socially acceptable to tell everyone to look out in kansas when there is a shark attack in cali hahaha.. LOOK OUT GUYS LOOK OUT! xD

  • Comment removed

  • That thing in my pants, Its like a missile you know. You cant stop it, you cant fend it off if it wants you its taking you. Period.

  • @brojajacra Yeah I call mine "The Great White"

  • Doing that must be fucking scary

  • you were in a cage!!what u whining about?

  • sharks only bite when you touch there private parts

  • ehhhhhhhh watch outtttt errhhhhhh derrrrp

  • OH MY GOD!!! A SHARK TOUCHED A CAGE!!! That's almost as terrifying as a baby patting your fridge! Or a fly landing on your car!! FEAR!!!!

  • LOL pussy, the poor thing shat itself when that crazy bitch starting screaming

  • I think the shark should have ripped the girl off the boat and rid us of that voice lol

  • @armyinfantry0513 I guess in the Army you can be all that you can be--an asshole.

  • oh my god that was such a blood thirsty beast. it was like a whole meter away......... even if the top wasnt "just so" the shark would swim away just the same whats it gunna do? jump into the cage? stupiddd

  • too bad the shark didnt jump the cage n eat his face

  • ...but it seems to me that shark got scared and swam off after that girl screamed 'watch out'??!!

  • we got ourselves a monster!!!

  • If it wants you, its taking you, period.

  • Cat look out! QUAAT LUKUUOUUUUT

  • Remember, there is no soundtrack under the water.

  • Sharks often bump the cage. He just happened to have the top open xD

  • What the guy said near the start of the video, if a shark wants you then there's no way of stopping it, it's having you (something along those lines anyways, I'm not bothered enough to type it word for word), is wrong. People have survived awful attacks that were very, very close to being fatal by punching the sharks in the gills, and kicking it's gills.

  • @shqiperiany

male sharks have really long fin-things on their underside, near their tail. like drifty little fin bits.

  • damn he caught a tuna. good job.

  • FUCKING PUSSY

  • Idiots like you that spin shit are the reason so many people needlessly fear sharks. Shame on you! Liar!

  • Ok this was no attack and this guy is just such a big pussy... Hes trying to get some attention because of this "cruel and bloody attack of this monster". Just sad

  • "Great White Shark Surprises Diver"? THAT'S The title?

That's like naming a video "Wilde beast running from lion " or "People don't like being stabbed"

What diver WOULDN'T be surprised by a damn Great White Shark?

  • @MrAmerica1995 He's cage diving. It's not like he wasn't looking for the bloody thing? I mean, that's kind of the point of "cage diving". A diver who isn't looking for a shark may be surprised by it, but the general plan for a cage diver is to see a shark at close range.

  • man you guys really need to open your eyes... yeah the guys fine but the POINT is that the fucking thing was about 2-3 feet infront of him... when you're least expecting a monster to be there and it shows up you shit your pants!!! Its the idea of the beast being so close.

  • @guitarstheshit69 When you're least expecting it to be there...he was fucking cage diving for Christ's sake, of course he knew it was going to be there. And anyone who goes cage diving, with a fully legitimate company at least, will be told that sharks often come up and nudge the bars out of curiosity. When I've been cage diving, with mainly tigers and whites, and a couple of bulls and others, they've come up to nudge the bars. Not all of them, and not very hard. But a few have.

  • oh gimme a break. the dude is fine.

  • YouTube....oahusquid....check out the HUGE tiger shark my son (15) and I encountered while spearfishing in Hawaii 7/24/11.

  • u fail

  • That shark looked curious if anything. He would have crashed into that cage head on with all its got if he intended on harming the diver. Other documentaries have said that certain sharks will nudge divers just because their curious, not because they want to necessaarily harm them. It's their way of feeling them out.

  • sharks have a bad profile. Yeah i wouldn't want to be in the water with one...but just because one came close to you doesn't mean it's intention was to jump over the cage and rip you to shreds. This was so overdone...

  • If the shark really wanted the diver well there wouldnt be a "diver" left .

  • im loving that laugh

  • they are beautiful creatures!

  • Thumbs up if you're going to watch shark week tonight starting at 9 Eastern time, 6 Pacific? :)

  • I know absolutely nothing about sharks. But i don't think the shark was simply "checking" it out. I think that Shark had some brains and figured the way to get to the guy was to go over. Just saying. I think that shark had some brains. :P

  • @agemaister Naw, I've been cage diving plenty of times and a few of the sharks have nudged the cage like that, at various points on the cage. If he wanted to get in, he'd have continued trying to get over. Plus, I reckon that if he was looking for a meal then he'd have tried to bite the bars first.

  • That bite was a curious bite. It just wanted to know what the cage was. Sharks are not stupid, mindless monsters. They have a brain and use it.

  • @thales1davinci especially great whites

  • The shark is not an it...."it" is a he or a she. They've been around for millions of years and are beautiful creatures. We owe them a little respect.

  • @UberCathal so what the fuck are we supposed to call them if we don't know if it's a he or she... don't embarrass yourself.

  • @shqiperiany How about "they" or "the shark"? I think I shall start calling a person an "It" if I am unsure as to it's gender.

  • @UberCathal you cant do that because if the person looks like a girl than it's a "she" if male "he" theres no such thing as not knowing a persons gender. they either look female or male. you can find about the rest of the body when u try to bag her/him so for now u call them as u see them.. i call sharks "it" if i dont know what gender it is.. why can't sharks be like lions which shows us whos male n female ..

  • @shqiperiany People call fucking ships "she"...the least you can do is give a living creature a pronoun that suggests some form of life? Even if you do call a female "he".

  • you were in a cage dipshit

  • The shark turns away from the guy before it checks out the cage. Probably scared him but never in any danger from it. Annoying that he is adding to this animals false bad reputation.

  • This may not have seemed like a big deal but if it was you in the cage, you would have been just as scared

  • @Kristina27611 No I wouldn't. Stuff like this has happened to me quite a few times. When I was cage diving off of Australia, three Great Whites decided to come up and bump against the cage. Likewise, when I was cage diving with Tigers and a couple of Bulls, a couple of them decided to come and check out the bars. Stuff happens. Now if the shark had flown at the bars and well and truly bitten the crap outta them, then I'd have been terrified. But he didn't.

  • Way too much bullshit in this video...

  • "if it wants you its taking you" ye bullshit, its very rare that a shark will first of all bite you never mind eat you, we're not on its food menu. if your going to go looking at sharks during a feeding frenzy and start flapping around in the water like a maniac then you deserve to get bitten. i wish people would learn more about sharks.

  • @bubblesblower93 It's a great white. We actually are on the menu. A few shark species would eat human if they get the chance. The ones I know are the great white, the tiger shark and the bullshark. But except from that, you're right.

  • @LasseMaidalPedersen they dont eat humans. Sometimes they take a nibble (to us =big chunk of flesh) and then they leave. They dont like how we taste.

  • @ah93704 if the nibble is in our torso it doesn't matter. You're still dead whether he finishes you off or not.

  • @cormermusic Not true, there have been a few people to survive bites to the abdomen. One young man in 1963 was attacked by a Great White in Australia whilst spear fishing, and he survived massive trauma to his torso and arm. His torso was in such a bad way, you could see bones and organs, and doctors and eyewitnesses said that the only thing holding him together was his wetsuit. He went on to develop the cage for cage diving, and he is still alive today :)

  • @templarknight94 Fair enough, but it's unlikely. The reason I was saying that is because the person I was replying to was talking as though Great Whites aren't dangerous, or sharks in general. "Oh it's ok, they're only test tasting you" As if that matters when it results in a missing arm, leg or life.

  • @cormermusic Oh, right, sorry! I get you. I'd be pretty annoyed if a shark bit me, but then I, like a lot of victims do, would simply admit that we were the ones in the shark's territory, so we became part of the food chain-even if they don't actually hunt us *the majority of the time*. I jut wanted to say that there were survivors of bites to the torso lol. Essntially, you're right. And "taste tests" may actually be a hunting straregy, the shark takes a bite and waits for you to bleed to death.

  • @cormermusic Sorry, ran out of room, following on from my last reply -_-

But that is quite rare I believe...and if it does happen, it is useful because it gives us a chance to survive.Usually though, victims of bad bites bleed to death in the water if they are relatively far out from the beach, lucky people are picked up by boats (I'm pretty sure the guy I talked about before was rescued by a boat).

  • @ah93704 There's actually no evidence to suggest that they "don't like how we taste" a lot of attacks are test bites. But the great white sharks predatory tactics are hit and run then come back after the prey has bled out. Since most humans aren't alone and close to either a boat or the shore we have a chance to escape. Since a lot of spear fishermen and scuba divers are actually consumed you would think they're ok with how we taste, but given that attacks are rare they prefer other food

  • @ah93704 A few shark species does eat us because of hunger. Like 8 of over a hundred. But not completely devour us, just eat a piece. Some of them are the great white, the tiger shark and the bull shark.

  • @LasseMaidalPedersen Very rarely...if a white, a tiger or a bull wanted to eat you, they'd take you down. People who lose arms and legs etc, but survive, could simply be because the shark is curious so he takes a bite, then establishes that it's not his usual prey so he runs off. A lot of victims of this type of attack never actually see the shark, it was so fast. Some fatal attacks were fatal because a curious shark just bit, and bit deep enough to sever arteries so victims bled to death.

  • @templarknight94 Yeah, it is rare. And of course they prefer food which is more natural for them. But if they're really hungry, we are on the menu. You're right though, people don't get consumed fully (unless they're dead already, sharks are carnivores), they just bleed to death. And mostly it's just because the shark is curious or mistake us for something else, like you said.

  • awwwww he was just a curious sharky... he just wanted to say hi :P

  • Horribly over hyped.

  • leave chuck norris goldfish alone

  • theyre bigger than us, theyre predators, theyre hungry, and sometimes we're on the menu case closed

  • im all for protecting and preserving life on our planet but i gotta say its pretty funny when people defend sharks that attack people. "it was just curious" or " oh it thought you were a seal" things like that. if you were in africa and got attacked and killed by a lion would people make excuses for it? or would people say " well lions are predators,if you dont wanna be a lions meal stay the fuck away from them". it is only my opinion but i feel sharks occasionally attack people because they can

  • Cage or not...had that been me we'd all know whether or not my shit floats... O.O

  • You know, these floating cages give me an idea for a new prison system.

  • and dont give me no shit about I bet you wouldn't get in the water with one hiding behind a monitor , IF YOUR PAYING FOR IT IM DOING IT .

  • YOUR IN A CAGE YOU PUSSY.....

  • why are people always exaggerating? 2:18 shark was like hardly moving O.o and the guy is saying if there wasn't for that upper part shark would EAT HIS HEAD AND SPIT HIS BRAIN OUT

  • we got ourselves a monstaa

  • attention whore how the fuck was the shark going to get him inside a cage,at least hes alive that was a funny comment sparky98761

  • I thought Sharks were usually curious about cages because they are metal objects and they react funny to their senses? They tend to investigate those objects. I don't think it was necessarily interested in the person behind the cage as much as the cage itself.

  • DOUCHE

  • Sensationalized and dramatized. Not even close to being in real danger. Gimme a break!

  • @rbradburke : Yeahhhh gimme a fuckin break... Dramatization at 100%

  • @fa18chornet i've had more danger with an old ladys shopping trolly in my heel.

  • Fact of Life we have learnt from this video. Sharks don't eat cowards!

  • be in the sharks position..if i had a weird thing staring at me i would attack it too..

  • 0:00

    skip adds

  • wtf? there was no threat at all... dumb tourists. how did that even get on discovery channel?

  • At least hes alive

  • few footage more only, and the guy would show his sound-effects to the Angels...

    ;-)

  • Gee, at first, I thought the cage had no sides and he was caught off guard.

Otherwise, when there were three sharks feeding... what's the surprise?

  • We got ourselves a monster!!! Lol cracks me up

  • This guy has a really resigned kind off defeatest attitude toward sharks. ''Can't be stopped'' ''If it wants you, it's taking you''. Bullshit. There are countless stories of people who escaped sharks. Tell you what, if I have my bayonet and a shark comes near me, it might taste blood but so will my blade. It sure as shit won't get an easy meal.

  • Sharks, they only bite when you touch their private parts.

  • FUCK THESE ADS!

  • sharks dont hurt people unless their hungry or the person does somthing to it sharks are loveable

  • Well if the guy had been caught it would have been his fault thats like running down a motorway with oncoming traffic then closing your eyes and trying to cross haha.

I am watching this as i am thinking of going to cape town to do shark diving as im terrified of the great white since i was a kid. Yet at the same time i love them. There most beautiful creature in the ocean to me.

  • if it's the sharkyest place on earth he shouldn't be caught offguard ^^

  • @H3cTiicZzHD you better not mean that

  • Was he aware that there was a cage between him and the shark?

    idiot.

  • I wanna see the video when the shark jumps over into the cage

  • Your an idiot if you ever think a shark is uninterested in food. I can tell by your comment that you are not a diver. I am. I bet you would have shit your pants in the same situation. Cages fail all the time. Great whites are especially strong.

  • Great White Shark Surprises Diver, NO SHIT

  • The shark was just curious. If I was a big old shark crusing along and all of a sudden I saw a dude in a cage I'd be like "WTF, I gotta check this shit out!" :)

  • @CyberChick2011 lol that made me laugh. WTF I GOTTA CHECK THIS SHIT OUT MAN! :P

  • @CyberChick2011 Well I am a shark, and I have never been curious of anything. Curious, does not enter our brains, us sharks.

  • GOD i wish the shark ate him

  • I think it's pretty stupid the top of the cages be opened, like the guy said on the beginning if it wants you it's taking you.. so I think it would be a matter of time till the shark get in lol

  • @tatazike no way...sharks die if they dont move,so it will not go inside the cage and have a suicide lunch :)

  • @rags1is1gags rlly? o.O now that's weird but I still won't do it with it opened, I mean I had swim with sharks before but not a fucking white shark o.<

  • Its not an attack but i must admit if i were him i would be terrified.

  • We got ahh selves ah monsta !!

  • well in my case if the shark want me i say "fuck off" hell no! u aint taking a part of me!

  • well in my case if the shark want me i say "fuck off"

  • "there was no where to go" just close the effing cage dumba**

  • yeah that looked terrifying......not.......

  • yeah that looked terrifying......not

  • That looked really scary.....not.

  • I kinda hate how Discovery cashes in on shark week, by playing up the hype and horror of sharks. They should be more responsible - this idea of "sharks as monsters" is one of the worst stereotypes ever, and is basically responsible for sharks being slaughtered to the point where the global shark population is down by 90% and no-one (even animal lovers) gives a shit.

  • I don't get it, he was in a shark cage with the doors up, what's the big deal

  • This is too much for Discovery channel! .. very ordinary channel!

  • Actually it was tryin 2 play wid d pink thing.

  • thats the dumbs video eveeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Hahaha what an exaggeration :p. Sharks bump into things they don't know, to figure out what they are (they have senses in their nose for that). And Whites also sometimes take a bite to figure out new things. But an attack.... that would have looked completely different dear mr. hero.

  • Fuckign typical Americans....talk it up.

It was nudging to inspect, it was not attacking.

    Pathetic.

  • @subasurf Fucking Aussie's, Dont even have their own leader. Still living off of the Queen.

  • @subasurf Unless you are fucking retarded, which I can you basically are. The man said it's jaws were OPEN meaning it was trying to BITE him, which is AGGRESSIVE. ATTACKING is AGGRESSIVE. You dumb fucking Aussie.

  • This guys a tool. He doesn't respect nature. I hope he gets eaten in the near future or gets impaled by a swordfish.

  • Comment removed

  • " If the top of the cage wasnt there . I might not be here today " Typical Dramatic American Down Syndrome. I went to Guadalupe Island in Aug 2010 and had a White shark do the exact same thing. Testing the cage to see what it is . It wasnt going for you , you fucking Moron. Its called a curious and interested animal . Propaganda like that is the reason why people are afraid of them. Dogs kill more people every year then sharks have in 100yrs of documented attacks. Go Lick Some Windows Tard

  • @Marcus0C Moron, people have dogs as pets, and they are FAR more bred than a shark you thick fuck. This isn't "American Propaganda", it had an open motuh and attempted to bite him, you can even see it in the video. People like you just make me so fucking sick. Just a wanna-be educated prick.

  • Anti rick roll saves me again. :D

  • "And i heard KAT scream""Kat look out!!"

  • *Shark taps top of cage with nose*

    *Dramatic music*

And we've got a 5 minute segment on a 'shark attack' show.

  • He wasnt really in danger, not to say I wouldnt be swimming in a bath of pee..of course.

  • mmmm that michael guy is beautiful

  • the shake couldent see him cause he was using camo dive suite ....XD

  • You cant beat the BBC (attenborough narrating) for nature. disagree! go watch one!

  • made a huge deal out of nothing.

  • at 1:58 he was like HOLY SHIT!

  • Wow... the shark said... hi

  • Oh, yeah. That shark was totally going to eat you. It was gonna just jump into that cage and OM NOM NOM NOM on your tiny brains. Nevermind that sharks are not dolphins and really can't jump out of the water at all.

  • They are swimming in the " Sharkiest waters of the world" Yet they are still surprised that one actually came to chew them

  • yes LKJ03, but there are good dive stories and videos on the net too. My personal favorite is the myscubastory site. It has videos, stories and pics too. Type top dive stories into google and its the 1st or 2nd one

  • sharks are chuck norrises gold fishes

  • "WE GOT R SELVES A MONSTA" LOL

  • It's not funny to catch sharks!

  • @buntgestraifft how is it not funny to catch sharks, i do it all the time on my boat.

  • @22nighthawks

You're some fat guy living in your moms basement pretending to be an elite shark fisherman?

    LMAO, sure thing tubby.

  • @22nighthawks it's not funny cause they are endangered u idiot --'
