  • @itsayellowfig-I know-The politicians here though give in to EVERYTHING!!!-They say yes to everything-At least in other countries they say no sometimes

  • DEATH TO ALL POLITICIANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN GREECE!!!

  • Tanstaafl proven true once again...

  • A cap on personal wealth and property is the real way to get the economy rolling again. Pooling of wealth has been a huge problem worldwide. Force those people to spend their capital on anything they want, and let's get this economy rolling again.

  • e) EU-imposed policies also destroyed the agriculture. The prices of greek products had to be reduced to a minimum, so they could compete with the third-world agricultural products. This made Greek farmers give up agriculture and the country started importing food from all over the world.

    f) then they took away the national currency, and gave us the euro, so financial policy could only be decided by the EU.

AND YOU HAVE THE FUCKING NERVE TO BLAME THE GREEK PEOPLE?

  • a) We were involved in a World War that we never intended, that completely ruined the country.

    b) We suffered an american-imposed dictatorship in 1967 that took the country ages behind.

    c) All our governments, until the fall of the dictatorship, were acting against the country's interests and in favor of american capital (puppet governments).

    d) After the dictatorship, all our governments acted in favor of EU interests, and absolutely RUINED the country's industry, which moved to the balkans

  • Greek politicians, public servants are fucking criminals!

  • @mike8164: it is basically very simple. Greece lived way above its means, tax evasion was the national sport, taxes were way too low to sustain the welfare state Greece wanted to be, etc etc.

Now Greece put the whole of Europe into risk, and has to come to Greece's rescue. And we should feel sorry for you??

Greece receives money as a LOAN. That means Greece pays interest. That's the very least.

But it seems you also want that money for free, huh??

    Buddy, the freeloading is over.

  • @arjeniedema EU cant be put at risk. Its economy is based on a web of banking assistance to ensure prosperity and sustain stability. All these fake crisis (fake coz banks and elites can deal with it easily) are just a way to put more taxes and gather more money to the few. Monetary modern system is based on depth.

  • THE CULTURE OF PROFIT DOESN'T GET CLEANED UP. IT CAN ONLY GET OVERRULED. Fellow Greeks, fellow Europeans and fellow humans all around the world, don't expect the ones interconnected with such interests to do something good for you. WE ARE ALL TOGETHER AND WE ARE ONE. LET'S OVERRULE THEM ALL.

  • So the greek do not want to pay for anything themselves, but want the rest of Europe to bail them out, meaning that the rest of the European population (our taxes!) has to pay for the fraud and overspending of Greece??

Stop your talk about capitalism, socialism, marxism and other '-isms', and just clean up your house.

And after that, send all those responsible for such a huge fraud to jail.

  • @arjeniedema Me , too,I don't understand what do they want - not to work, not to pay taxes, go on vacation, receive 15-16 salaries, not repaying their credits etc. I have a company of my own and I know very well that it never works, sooner or later it all crashes.

What I do not understand is why other companies in the EU should pay for their depths.

  • @impossibleisnothin7 & @arjeniedema : you should live in Greece for a year or so as a humble citizen with a normal job. lucky if you wouldn't have any children because the goverment support for them is close to 0 and you would need 2 jobs just to get them through school. 2 jobs would give you an average of 1.500 euros,= 16 hours the day.you would pay an average of 100 euro's for electricity.rent another 400 (the least) a summer job ? 7 days the week for 6 months. unemployed after that->400 euro

  • @impossibleisnothin7&@arjeniedema (dutch uh ?) come and have a summerjob in greece: 6 months,7 days the week(if u don't like that you can go they tell you) and for how much ? 700-1200 euro. unemployed after that?u must have worked 2 seasons to get 400 euro the month in wintertime. children ? without 2 jobs ? impossible! childsupport? close to nothing! ika(average worker-insurance) you get your teeth smashed ? not insured. u know why nothing changes over here ? fear and insecurity.

  • @arjeniedema , dont believe what you listen .we dont want your money ,the think you dont understand is that your GOVERMENTS WILL MAKE MONEY FROM US.

I dont know which country you are from ,but you should know that germany makes money from us ,it is not fucking eyropean union it is the fourth reich.

  • "greek do not want to pay for anything themselves, but want the rest of Europe to bail them out"

"Them" is the Greek elites, not the Greek workers. The workers did not create this crisis, it was created by Greek elites and bankers. Be careful who you talk about. Do you want to bail out the elites in Greece? If not, stand by the Greek workers who also do not want to bail out the elites. The elites brought this crisis on themselves, and, as usual, they want others to pay for it.

  • @arjeniedema Trust us mate. Greek people has nothing to do with that but the thieves in the corrupted Greek government. It is very shameful already for us, so do not make it a people problem. And unfortunately this happens and will continue to happen, if not here then in another country, due to those 'isms' you are neglecting.

  • @arjeniedema Its very hard and complicated to "send all those responsible for such a huge fraud to jail." Because a lot of the responsible are political figures and International agenda.. Just check the trial of the latest scandal(siemens scandal) 2 years and still no one in jail... Tragic.. Trust me the worst think for us (greeks) is to ask for help.. Things gonna get ugly here fast.. I dunno how things are in Holland.. But defenately its better than here.. Please dont generalize things..

  • @arjeniedema Let's talk on your terms then, without -isms. You should be careful who you lend to. Because there is always a risk that he won't be able to pay. Greedy bastards counted on the greek governments to keep the people enslaved. Well, how unfortunate for them. RISK is in the very nature of every loan. That's why we were paying high interest rates all these years, because we were "unreliable". Well, they can keep their interest rates, cause they won't get anything else. How's that

  • hahahaha spend spend spend like crazies and then the capitalism is to blame!!! burn three people and here we go again.

  • This whole economic crisis mainly stemmed from OPEC raising oil prices, which is their right to do. Capitalism (with apparent corrupt banking) cannot function based on the quantity of life anymore-the numbers game is over. Oil based economies will falter. It's time to focus on the quality of life, even if this means the bank can't make 8-10% from your buck anymore.

  • Capitalism makes a nation rich, over time government and the nation get lazy and fat making socialist policies, these policies lead to forced labor prices and benefits that cannot be sustained by the market itself. Population grows and the prices of goods/housing inflate and government deficit spending kills the economy. Any time a leader suggests spending on a deficit he/she should be tazered and replaced. Usery, intrest and credit are far more evil that H1N1, Terrorists and Y2K...

  • @qlcmusic - did you read John Pilger's latest article on this??

  • Proletariat Revolution!

  • I guess reguardless who is responsible of what or how things have effeced what, something has to be done about it. I guess the other way is for the country just to collapse and then they can argue the issues in all that extra free time people will seem to have. Which is a bad thing :(.

  • haha germany has to!!! lol

  • you see what socialism does!!!! wait for this to happen with socialist obama

  • As normal. it all boils down to corruption and greed which in short = capitalism. When will the masses learn, Capitalism does not work, it ultimately ends up an economic dictatorship. Why do these capitalist politicians who personally will not go without their dinner ask the masses to pay for their steeling and mismanagement of the countries money. It's ALL collapsing very fast! This is just the start! Go back to your goats and your farms, tell them to keep their shit!

  • nothing works when those in charge r dishonest, capitalism, that is selling goods for profit can work fine.

this recession is all a planned event, to make the people poor, inable to resist a more corrupt power, eventually the "answer" will be a single world order, that will take by economic force every country.

  • @tpvalley Sorry Capitalism cannot work! If you consider the simple principle of it, it means to capitalise on the masses or environment in order to grow. it's a fundamental law of economics, any business cannot remain static, it either grows or contracts. Resources do have a finite amount or limit, and they have reached it. read Karl Marx, on Capitalism, It's a parasitical philosophy doomed to fail.

  • so do u not count say a corner shop as a capitalist entity?

a shop that buys for less than it sells stuff for? because its capitalising on its investment.

Its not capitalism u oppose it human nature, this when combined with any way of life causes failure, in communism, the rulers have more, in socialism, people r not encouraged to do anything so the economy stagnates. or do u favour people owning nothing and sharing all?

    this never works.

It is immorality not capitalism u hate. as do I.

  • @tpvalley So, sad to say Capitalism seems to be a phylosophy which human nature, generally, is attracted to! We as humans are our own worse enamy, we are nothing short of a bunch of paracites praying our own kind and the world around us! We are fucked. Uless we could change to an idea of no one ownes anything. And I doubt that will happen!

  • The problem in Greece is that the Government did not create the necessary conditions to adjust to the Euro. Ever since the Euro has been introduced into the Greek economy, the Governments policies have been reactive (e.g. introducing unrealistic property taxes, adjusting pension plans and retirement qualifications, etc. etc.)

The Greek Government has also demonstrated financial corruption and expects the people to pay for the short-fallings of the Government.

    REVOLUTION!

  • fuck capitialism!! The struggle being waged by the workers in Greece must be seen as just one front in this developing struggle by workers throughout Europe, which must assume a conscious, organised and programmatic form in a Europe-wide and international struggle for a socialist alternative. The bourgeoisie must be defeated, Enough is enough

  • the greek government allowed this to happen knowing that the EU will bail it out.

what have u got against me buying goods and selling for profit or growing food and selling it for money?

    what is the alternative?

swap goods for goods? even then some goods increase in value when conditions cause them to so u r in the same position.

its not capitalism its greed that sacrifices others that creates problems.

Even comunism has never worked and socialism punishes sucessful, no incentive to succes

  • tpvalley - in answering your questions, I would like to put what you say in context by clearly establlshing which side of the class divide you stand in, with these questions:

-who benefits from the current economic situations Greece finds itself in???

-who should pay for the debt Greece has occurred as a result???

  • who benifits?

those that want a one world government as this situation effectively makes all countries in the eu poorer.

If my country goes bust we have to pay, so if the greeks r going bust they should pay, why should the rest of the EU?

this just results in everybody being poor.

We r already several trillion in debt here in UK. the poorer nations r the easier they r to conquer.

  • tpvalley - "hose that want a one world government as this situation effectively makes all countries in the eu poorer"

    does not make sense

"If my country goes bust we have to pay"

    who is we???

  • socialism?

only those with nothing favour socialism because the envy the rich, in a socialist world nobody tries to get ahead so nothing new happens, nobody is motivated to try as it all gets taken from them. If the rich r rich and honest why should they pay for the poor.

The EU has been forced upon us without vote and is the 1st step in the new world order. they want us all poor and inable to travel so they can keep us all in a box, to busy struggling to stop them.

  • tpvally - are you capable of answering the questions? If you would like an honest ad open debate on this then show us your face by responding to the previous post.

  • We are the taxpayer, the owners of the country we live in and pay for.

    Doesnt make sense?

if a country or countries r poor they have less to spend on defence, less of a voice to influence as their actions make no impact on other countries economic state.

a poorer country is easier to influence or conquer, even by stealth. The eu was forced upon us, no referendum, all to give individuals less of a voice, divided, unable to decide anything we r weaker.

the poor want socialism, the rich do not

  • tpvalley - "the poor want socialism, the rich do not"

It seems you are indeed conscious of the fact that we live in a class society.

How will this debt be paid by the taxpayer?

  • taxes on everything especially things like transport as our governments want us to stay in one place; and food and healthcare, everything that enables the NWO to succeed.

  • tpvalley - would you say deep cuts in social spending - schools, public health and education, staff cuts in the public sector, privatisation of the public sector, cuts to unemployment benefits and pension funds and to wages are all also likely???

  • It seems unemployment benifit etc is going up, its like they want a nation of layabouts reliant on the teet of government, those on benifits will of course vote the benifit giver in, and when the lid blows off we will have a nation of unfit lazy people inable to resist or fight.

Public sector workers here like politicians r also giving themselves pay rises, as if they want us bankrupt, as if someone is telling them ruin ur country then we can take it/ force it into NWO.

  • tpvalley - can you give me any evidence in what you say regarding unemployment benefits in that it is or will be govt policy?? Or is this just your spin??? Is it consistent with what the EU is demanding??

Do you support all the measures that I have raised to "reduce the debt"??????????

  • its just my hypothesis based on current trends, I hope I am wrong!

The trend towards creating a weak, poor, lazy nation that can be controlled easily and stepped on even easier.

I havent seen any of ur ideas for improving things.

  • Tpvalley - sorry mate - lost in translation- did you actually answer the question??? Do you support all the measures that I have raised to "reduce the debt"??????????

Am I being too direct for your liking???

  • what measures do u mean?

  • @radoa1

Nature is pure capitalism. There are no functioning socialism that are not capitalist at heart. There is no allegedly successful political socialism that doesnt start from surpluses based in capitalism, and there is no socialism that improved the lives of one segment of the population without confiscation of property from another segment. This transfer is CAPITALIST based on assigning priorities and exploiting vulnerabliites that are CREATED. Really it's just reprioritized tribalism.

  • @morttodd -how is weatlh held in common CAPITALIST??? How is the transfer of wealth so that EVERY single individual can have the necessities of life and enjoy its luxuries - CAPITALIST??? Your post illustrates a lack of understanding of how the capitalist system works, history and what it means to be a socialist.

  • @radoa1

Held in COMMON? REALLY? WHEN IS IT YOUR TURN TO HOLD IT, you ignoramus? WHen is it your turn to make decisions about it? Did Stalin hold it for you? Did Mao? Did Castro? Does the FED? Didnt they PROFIT by being at the top and live like kings ?? If they held it for you THEN WHERE THE FUCK DID IT DISAPPEAR TO?

Seems like they have/had a pretty nice life that others they controlled had no chance for.

What a maroon, you're a fool, buy the lie untill you die.

  • @morttodd - you would rather Cuba be like Haiti??? And since when was stalin a marxist??? Love to know the history books your reading. You make accusations and statements yet you clearly dont understand the science behind the class divide and the massive class warfare that has been going on for the last 30 years. YOU DUMB BASTARD!

  • @radoa1 hello. the problem is not capitalism but one of a socialist economic model that doesn't work. greece is not productive enough to have a massive welfare state. greece is hostile to private enterprise. it is no possible for everyone to work for the state. who will pay all those outrageous salaries and benefits? the state is bankrupt and those who rely on the state are finished..finally!

  • @mpatmios - do you acknowledge that we live in class society?

  • @radoa1 Capitalism isn't the problem, government needs to stay small and focus on social services and humanitarian regulations only. Government economic policy will ruin an economy every time. Business will manipulate the government to manipulate the free market and force illogical wages or prices in the market. This is destructive and retards the economy.

  • @qlcmusic - Laissez-faire capitalism isnt a problem?

  • @radoa1 These people are in this mess today becasue of government spending and corruption. This was not casued by a free market, private industry is useing the government to create social policy that is in advantage for thier own company/industry which in turn casues unsustainable wages, even worse is a nation full of government workers that don't acctually produce anything.

  • @qlcmusic - the country is in a mess (and many others) because the people stupidly voted for bourgeois govts over the years that only represent the interests of big business at the expense of the working class. Capitalism's profit motive MUST drive wages down in order to maximise the exploitation of surplus labour. Dont believe me - have a look at the how property prices have increased around the world compared to the wage increments. Lets being scientific in our analysis - not reactionary.

  • Real Greeks don't put up with shit ! - Papandreou is not a real Greek by the way. He is a Zionist Jew , and it is clear where his loyalties lie. With The Jewish Banking Mafia.

  • @WhereEaglesDareWWII

Shooting the messenger does not help. The problem is not of Papandreou doing. Greece's profligate public spending is what got them in this mess not the banks.

Now that chickens have come home to roost some in Greece like children throw a temper tantrum.

And you decide to take the facist path and blame the jews.

When ever there is a crisis you can always count n the facist to crawl out of the little facist nests.

  • Turks take notice, do you still want to join EU and be called PIIGS

    or Turkey

    NO

eu is a sick family of EU

  • @mtakman Yes it is sick , because it is created by The Jewish Banking Mafia. The Rothschilds are the main criminals. They need to be taken to court and tried for treason and locked up for life.

  • Jewish Banking Mafia...How stupid are you? People, who do not understand economy/society always create some "bad people that are responsible and have planned everything that is bad".

People like you, are the reason why Israel must exist. Stupid bastards.

  • To all those calling the Greeks with the Greek word "Anarchists" ,how many Greeks in America, Australia or Europe saw you they are Anarchists? The Greeks are hard workers in every place they live trying to improve their level, and they made huge steps in science and literature, just we are not pawns to play with us every Henry Kissinger (Great personality). So stop the propaganda and look behind what is happening in your country.

  • I put up the quote of Henry Kissinger's to expose him as the criminal that he is. Greek people don't take crap from anyone, and we Americans should be taking notes. I thought it was obvious, sorry.

  • If only the Greeks would truly rebel. The so-called "Anarchist" groups appear to just be sitting this one out, apparently they just like to burn cars and smash ATMs when one of their own gets shot.

  • The system makes it so hard to organize anything. Even our thoughts get scattered by the chem trails they are poisoning us with. We need God to help us order our lives and our interactions with each other.

  • If one of us gets murdered without reason by the state, there is a duty to riot. If you don't do anything it will get worse.

  • I agree that is a good reason to riot, but now Greece also needs an even wider uprising because the country is being clearly raped by capitalism. If the Anarchists just stay quiet during this crisis, then their movement will have little value to the masses.

  • bollox, the greek government let this happen knowing EU would bail them out, my country the UK is paying for it, this whole EU shit is to make the very poor poor and the well off poor, all equal, powerless and poor, inable to travel, rise up, protest, think, no democracy just propoganda by the nwo.

  • The Greek people are anarchic and difficult to tame. For this reason we must strike deep into their cultural roots: Perhaps then we can force them to conform. I mean, of course, to strike at their language, their religion, their cultural and historical reserves, so that we can neutralize their ability to develop, to distinguish themselves, or to prevail; thereby removing them as an obstacle to our strategically vital plans in the Balkans, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. -Henry Kissinger

  • If only the Greeks would truly rebel. The so-called "Anarchist" groups appear to just be sitting this one out, apparently they just like to burn cars and smash ATMs when some punk rocker gets shot.

  • Real News you guys are really good at what you do.

  • that's a great idea....let the rich pay for it since they caused it

  • ...I thing is the end of the European union and I hope to go back to the old time where for me the people have more quality in our lifes than today.

  • There is time to stop buying expensive German cars and buy from Greek stores and not from German, French and etch and maybe to go back to drachmas to draw all the tourists and companies the most of them went to Turkey or other country where the money are cheaper. Here in Greece the most stores are German stores ,and a lot of Companies even the Athens airport belong to Germans, most of communications of national com systems came from Siemens with all those scandals.

  • Thats what we need to do. Boycott all german products. Boycott Lidl , german car companies , banks etc.. I wanna see whats gonna happen when Italy and Spain follow what seems to be inevitable. Its natural the workers do not want to pay as it is not their fault about what is happening. Let the politicians pay. Hang them by the balls in Syntagma.

  • Stupid idiot. The left in Germany shows Solidarity. The free market idiots exist in every country. If the same happened to Germany, your greek "free market" idiots would say the same.

It is not about countries, but our rights.

We will not pay for their crisis.

    Greets out of Austria

  • Dear austrian fascist pig , Greece does not want to lead the EU like Germany does. A good leader shows their skills when the shit hits the fan and not when everything is nice and calm and the money making business is at its height. Noone asked you to pay for the crisis so chill out or shut the fuck up. Cunt.

  • I am a socialist, not a a fascist pig. Germany does not lead the EU. Please don't be so ridicolous. We will have to pay for the crisis everywhere. Health care, Education...we have to fight for our rights...

  • Austrians and Germans are fascists heart and soul. Germany does not lead the EU? Open your eyes kid.

  • So you think all Germans have fascist genes?

Btw. my greatgrandparents nearly got killed because they were communist.

You just look for a scapegoat. Some invent a "little elite that has planned everything what is not liked in capitalism" others just blame other countries. It is ridicolous. You cannot organise restistance with that stupidity. If you demand an economic war against Germany, you are just crazy.

  • Now is Greece but others will follow...

"It is better to die on your feet than live on your knees."

    -Emiliano Zapata

    FIGHT NOW!

  • well! no one becomes rich from just borrowing money!. PAY IT BACK! GREECE!

  • Give me a break the Federal Reserve was in on the action. There is a clear revolving door between Goldman Sucks and the Fed.

  • Excellent vid!

  • No pay = No play. Do these people think life is free? European leading health companies complained to Brussels that they owe 7 billion Euros that they haven't played. Is the point that you spend and spend and not pay? It's time to cut spending in the public sector.

  • I had not realized that the Greeks were infinitely more intelligent than Americans.

  • tell someone plz something about the "new deal"

  • WE are ALL ANGRY! cant wait until Americans come together and TAKE DOWN the corporate corrupt system in Wash. DC ruling over the destruction of this planet! Another solution is claiming complete sovereignty & forming your own SELF RULED Government within YOUR State....either way I REFUSE TO BE RULED BY THIS CRIMINALLY INSANE Corporate OLIGARCHY!

  • im ready when you are....

  • God is about to blow them straight to hell in supernatural power in the USA. He is.

  • Dear Lennon and the viewing public,

No way... corporations are awesome... shopping is awesome... I like knowing that when I shop poor brown and black folk suffer immensly. That's why I support the troops... so they can stack up brown babies infront of their wailing mothers so that I can get an iPhone, and a Cadillac, and a pony. My dream is to have a statue made of me for my fashionable tastes in consumables. All poor oppressed foreigners can drink my piss cuz I'm an American consumer!

    EB

  • @OurLordLennon: I agree - but the global financial elite is too powerful at this point. These movements must go global - otherwise things will only get worse everywhere. Interim solutions, such as local economies etc, are good, but will not solve these problems in the long run.

  • havent they gotten bad enough?

  • Wholly support the Greek people's uprising, why should they pay for the misdemeanours of the elite?!

  • @st8ed, misdemeanors? Try high-treason.

  • It may be 2 years or 10 years....but this is exactly what the ruling elites have in store for the USA....They're going fulfill their 70 year dream of gutting Social Security and the New Deal....no matter what it takes.

  • "They're going fulfill their 70 year dream of gutting Social Security and the New Deal"

The "New Deal" was pretty much just a bunch of corporate welfare programs falsely sold as social welfare programs, and Social Security has always been a ponzi scheme. If the ruling elites opposed them, not only would they not be treated as completely off-limits in public discourse, we wouldn't even have them in the first place.

  • @Libertarian333

Ponzi schemes inevitably collapse....Social Security is going on 70 years now...This is why conservatives despise the New Deal so much....it's a successful government program....

  • unity.. ha! having thought about our globalised world we are all loosing our national identity. This European experiment is over. Either we are a combination of separate nations working together OR we are slaves to the unelected EU.

I dont see a happy end to the current problem. Complete revolution is the only real recourse. Fight on my Greek brothers and sisters.

  • the love of money is the root of all evil

  • Greece has strong socialist and communist parties. They help the people of Greece understand who and what is really responsible for the economic crisis. -- the capitalists and the capitalist system. Unfortunately, these parties do not exist in most countries, so workers are helpless in the face of capitalist terrorism. They suffer in loneliness and silence.

  • I'm sorry, but the Greek Guards' uniforms really are gay.

  • Why should people pay for the crazy life style of these people who where basically handed picked by the corporations who then looted the tax money. I say stop paying taxes now. Let the corporations pay for their plunder

  • the greek people want to make a change! hell yeah they want to hang you sorry motherfuckers for fucking them up the ass with a roll of barbwire fence and wanting them to thank you for the ass raping you pieces of shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good video, thx for post

  • Tune in next week when we at TheRealNews Network will be bringing you the EXACT same report but to make it exciting we will be swapping the letters "G" "R" "E" "E" "C" E" for "I" "R" "E" "L" "A" "N" and D"

  • Greece will probably fall over. Their position in the EU isn't strong and their country is too dependent on the rest of Euorpe to break the mold.

Spain will break later this year or no later than Spring, 2011. The economy there is bigger and can stage a fight against the oligarchs. That will be the test for the euro, one they may very well wind up losing.

  • After Spain, will come the turn of France, Italy and many else......

  • I still hold out hope for Spain. And it's not just the fact that they are riot-hardened. They've been through the Spanish Civil War and they had no problem taing to the streets against Bush to protest the war.

In fact, I'm saying that it's in ALL of the EU to take action once it reaches Spain. They can hide Greece under a rug, but Spain is too large.

  • They just need to say no.We dont owe you any money monopoly money. And tell so called banks to move out of greece. And i would get greece out of the e.u..And start over like its moniterily day one.

  • @wastelandsoldier1 agreed!

  • The whole idea behind having a single currency like the Euro was for the benefit of the corporate interests. This undermines a government's individual sovereignty and in turn undermines the sovereignty of the working class these governments represent reducing their ability to bargain. It's also no coincidence that the most fascist country in the European Union, Germany, is the one that has the influence to decide which countries will get a bailout and which ones will not.

  • The people commenting on this video are starting to scare me more than the government. The mindless rhetoric. Do people really think lynching the government will improve things?

Breaking a few windows and flipping a few cars may make you feel better. But what does it accomplish, other than destruction?

You need a plan! How will you create jobs? What will you produce to trade with the rest of the world for resources such as food, energy and technology? Power to the people, but be constructive!

  • There are things inside the county that you dont know. The previous govermnt (capitalistic one) stole all the money of the people. My country was never ready to be westernized. We should have kept up our agriculture and farmers, thats what fed greece for years.Until we were ready for europe. We have been borrowing money for ages trying to create and progress, whih is wrong. There were never extra money,we hve been owning money since 1960!

  • There's nothing capitalist with stealing someones effort or work. In fact there's nothing capitalist about going into debt! Capital is literally savings. The Keynesian insanity that has plagued the last 75 years or so will hopefully come to an end.

  • The errors in your policy are that of Keynesianism (stimulate through debt, at the expense of other sectors), not capitalism. There is a difference. Check out "America's Great Depression" by Murray Rothbard. It explains all the mistakes the US made during the depression. Your country seems close to repeating them.

  • Capitalism is an economic system in which the means of production are privately owned. Keynesianism is a governmental policy towards capitalism. It's silly to say we've never had capitalism. I agree free markets have never existed-but the free market is solely a theoretical concept. Capitalism existed even in fascist countries. Fascist corporatism is extremely Keynesian capitalism.

You're in the same boat as the folks who say we've never had real socialism.

  • I am greek,so I know which is the problem of my home.

The main problem is we always do things we cant afford. Such as the bidge in Rio-Antirio,where we had to borrow huge amounts of money from France, and which we still try to pay back. There is no money for us to live but the goverment still tries to do useless stuff to westernize us instead of helping simple people.

We were still struggling to settle when we got in E.U. We were not ready for that.

  • Perfectly-put, bluethinggg. I totally understand the seething & white-hot rage the people feel. However...if (and it's a very big 'if') such an overthrow were even possible...

...what would the people do next for their new country?

  • There will come a point in time when violence will be the only solution. This time is when all other options have been exhausted, and the people have a choice between going along with tyranny, or overthrowing it.

You can talk about policies all you like. The people in charge aren't going to surrender the power without a hostile takeover. To think otherwise is to ignore history.

  • @dopplesoldners Are you Alex Jones? lol. Good point.

  • @bluethinggg

About "creating jobs", I think the idea that jobs are to be "created" and "preserved" is a hollow issue which is kept alive because it serves the false idea that we need enterprises to create jobs, giving them leverage in any negotiation with them... (e.g. we have to give them money/bail them out so they create/preserve jobs and stay in our country)

When a machine replaces 100 workers, the total working time should be shared with them... everyone works less but everyone works...

  • America needs to have general strikes of their own.

  • good to see at least the people mobilizing!

  • Seize the assets and bank accounts of every traitorous politician who voted for bank bailouts, use that to pay the debt.

  • Better be ready.

    ★★★★★

  • Thanks for the news.

  • I myself, and many others who realize the true situation, fully support the Greek workers in their struggle for honest just government in their country.

Capitalism only serves in intrests of the top 1%. The 1% that owns 80% of all the worlds money, at the expense of the working class. This will never change as long as we allow capitalism to run and ruin our lives and our nations.

    WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!!

  • Exactly! In fact my country was always a farmers country, living mainly from agriculture... Since capitalism made greek people want to be ''western'' this country tuned upside down. There is nothing wrong inbeing a worker and a farmen, but in fact capitalists makes us think it is.

  • This is do to government corruption at the highest. A good example of politicians promising people "free stuff" to get re elected or based on misguided ideology. Obama should learn a lesson here.

  • I have no pitty for greece. They lied to europe.

  • You speak like they need your pity.

    They don't.

  • real news ur the best.......................

  • Greek workers! Rise up in REVOLUTION! Overthrow this weak government and establish a workers' republic!

  • "You most sacrifice some of your rights and pay up for the good of your country comrade." Hmm sounds familiar?

  • @Budguy68 !!!

  • I applaud the Greeks.

  • The Governments are crazy, they want people to give up their rights and trust them. The Governments are the enemy and the cause of all these problems, who in their right mind would trust them. The need to be dragged through the streets along with the damn police straight to the court houses they all need to be tried for treason and fraud.
