@SAMER63 must i explain everything to u?? israel was officially founded after the british left their mandate in 48. the territories were not squired by force, they were bought by jews. even while britain was controlling israel, there were diplomatic talks about how to divide the land between the jews and arabs. the nation israel could have been made then. the day britain has withdrawn from israel- that day zionists declared independence, and then the war started. this is as legal as u can get.

@EternallyExistent I'd love to hear your opinion on the spread of illegal Israeli settlements. How do you justify this in your mind? An Israeli settlement is an Israeli civilian community on land that was captured by Israel during the 1967 Six-Day War and is considered occupied territory. The International Court of Justice and the international community say these settlements are illegal, and no government supports Israel's settlements.

@currymuncher7 no disagreement there.. these illegal settlements are one big problem for israel. while i was in the IDF i was stationed mostly at places just like these through the west bank, and i can tell u that the people that build these places are religious jews, that dont care about the implications of what they do. they hate the government because very often their house get destroyed by israeli authorities. they claim that the land has to be their because its in the bible its israeli

The Jews could have refused to take the land. There is something known as courting trouble. It's obvious their presence there would generate discontent in the middle east.
Let's take the analogy of a father and his 2 children.
The father lets one son take part of the other sons room.
How do you think the other son will feel?
Obviously, to promote and preserve cohesion, the first son should refuse to take up the offer.
