Years ago In Durham, NC before Mike Nifong was disbarred for trying to frame 3 innocent men Jim Hardin & Tracey Cline tried to do the same thing. The DNA didn't match the guy they were trying (Leon Brown). After the case was over the jury foremen said the trial was "a waste of time". He also said "the evidence was nonexistent" and asked "Wheres the justice?". Brown spent a year in jail during the trial.

Hardin later became a judge and before he left appointed Nifong the new DA. And Cline? Well just this past election she became the new DA of Durham. This kind of stuff has been going on for years across the country and unlike what happened in this case sometimes innocent people end up in prison.

my friend read the history of the U.S. you do know that throughout the hist. of the U.S. that there have been and still are judges, police captians, lawyers. U.S. congressman, clergy, doctors...who have been members of the kkk. Many of whom have not taken great strides to hide this fact. Everything is different between the groups, from: the initial assumption of guilt, the notion of innocent until proven guilty, quality of legal representation, length of sentences--post conviction...everything. So, this man could have been executed for a crime he did not commit... because Sotomayor rejected his appeal due to technicality.

A man could have been wrongly executed, and Sotomajor would have been partly responsible.

That is a very important consideration for a nominee for the Supreme Court.
