first ever world wide metal cover of LOVE STORY by DEADLY LIGHTNING.....come in aiasmusic - DEADLY LIGHTNING channel and hear the metal version of an epic...thanks AIAS.
That glass revolving door at 6:20 is like a metaphor of an invisible barrier between the father and the son. And the father came out the same way as the son, which means he wants to overcome the barrier.
@lhoxung what a fucking stupid you are this is the most beautiful thing in life, its not about sex stupid and it deffinatly not about reproduction, when you fall into real love you will find out the beautiful meaning of "Love means never having to say you're sorry"
@mckevin81 let's see if you can love your gf or wife when she become a fat wh0re lol. Accept the truth that you never want to love an ugly and fat person.
@lhoxung We all feel sorry for you that your wife or gf turned into a fat whore, but we can't blame her ! this is the side effects of living with you ;-)
Amazing that Ryan O'Neill gave his best interpretation in this movie and 40 years later in real life through the very same expirience. Great actor in 1970 but a greater man in 2009.
this movie has always touched me deeply...I cry every time I see it. Part of it is that when this movie came out...I was only 15 years old and my dad was dying of lung cancer. In some ways this movie was cathartic...helping me cry and cry and let out my own emotions...what happened to jenny and oliver was soo unfair and so was what happened to my dad...but of course life is not always fair...
I saw the movie when I was 12... I never saw it again... I'm much older now... This part of the movie still brakes my heart... Astonishing A master Achievement... Stupending actors... Astonishing music... Realistic story Real meaning of love Ryan O'Neal after that has has a stupending role in Barry London... But surely not egalizing this one... The marvellous actress...which roles did she have aftyer..? I would realy like to see her movies & acting... BRAVO
Is it just me or does Jennifer's father Phil sound slightly angry and resent of Oliver when he said "I wish..... ... I wish I hadn't promised Jenny......... and then he rises his voice slightly to sound like he is rather upset. I WISH I HADN'T PROMISED JENNY TO BE STRONG FOR YOU.
I think Phil was more angry and regretful now that he's realizing that his daughter is gone, he's finding difficulty being strong. Both for himself and for the people she loved.
The reason Phil sounds that way is due to the conflict of two forces
1) -he promised Jenny he would put up a brave front when in the presence of Oliver
2) Since he's just found out that his only child has died he's completely devestated by grief and would love nothing more then to just cry however by keeping his promise to Jenny he's attempting to hold back more emotional pain then anyone could handle...thats why he sounds that way
I love how Ali Mcgraw( Jennifer Cavilleri) asks Ryan O'neal( Oliver Barrett) to hold her. She knows she is going to be gone in the next moment or two. When he holds her, she says no really hold me, next to me. I think that it is both saddening and wonderful that she wants him not except blame for whats happening/going to happen to her.
That. I like that fact that there isn't any stupid romantic bullshit in this movie. I feel that the overly romantic factor gets in the way of the movie in A Walk to Remember. So that is my black and White about this movie. In short it is a classic, something A Walk to Remember will never be. My new catchphrase is
"Listen you conceited Radcliffe Bitch. This is my favorite line in the movie.
This is an amazing movie. I watched it for the first time a few days ago, and fell in love with it. There is a very real genuine feel to this movie. It is very emotional. It makes you feel. This is a much better movie then A Walk to Remember which has a somewhat less real to life genuine feel to it. I just bought this movie for my collect. I didn't think I was going to find it, but I did, and bought it immediately, because once this movie is out of print, its pretty much game over after..
A young man in my church just went through this. I have never seen such agony in someone before. I hope to never see it again. Diagnosed 10/17 gone 11/19.
The movies I grew up watching in the 70's as a kid all made deep impressions on me and it was mainly because they were all beautifully scored. Once you see it and hear it you never forget it. When I here this theme I immediately think of Ryan O'Neil sitting in the bleachers at the end of the movie. This may not be a five star movie but the last 15 minutes are as touching and thought provoking as you'll ever experience. It really puts life in perspective. Thanks for posting it.
OMG,, what wonderful expressions by all the charecters there!!!!!!!!!!!! KILLERS

"Love means never..."
• Having to put the toilet seat back down after taking a leak.
• Having to take out the trash when you're too tired.
• Having to sit through an entire chick flick (e.g. "Love Story") without dozing off 5 minutes into it and for the remainder.

This movie proves that life does not have a happy ending. I still love this movie.
It has to be one of the most romantic movie, ever. It still breaks my heart, when
Jenny asks Oliver to hold her, and he gets in her bed. It is a very beautiful and
moving part to this movie. WOW!!!!.

I could never promise my dying child this.
redmr2na 2 years ago
agreed red...the Phil Cavaleri character clearly shows tremendous emotional strain and has to make multiple efforts to even say a simple sentence
MightySaturn5 2 years ago
I think it would be hard not to make that promise. Especially if time was running out.
Hardest thing would be keeping that promise. Which is what I think Jenny's objective was. So that Phil and Ollie would look after each other.
