Cool. I liked the solo of EX-5. I can already do finger tapping solos though. When you do strumming solos, do you strum through out or just strum enough to get sound out and do like, hammer-ons and pull-offs? I wish they would make lesson books of these cause I would get them. I'm getting a Razorback V255 in two months.

3. Ex-3 is the solo to "Ignition"

4. Ex-4 is a part of "Insurrection

5. Ex-5 is a part of "The Storm" solo. or it could be just regular arpeggios

6. Ex-6 is a sweep from "Anthem (We are the fire)" solo

7. Ex-7 is a tapping from the solo from the song "The Crusade"

Ex 4 is the solo in insurection (near the end of the solo) but in a different key.

@sk8monster112 I play co-lead guitar in a band called Chains OF Wrath from natrona heights and actually yeah i think it does. I started off by trying to do legato all over the neck really fast. Then when i added picking it was essentially the same thing but i just picked the whole in thing out. Pretty much keep working on it and you'll get it eventually. Even the greatest started out somewhere.

it was probably just a riff Matt had back then. this videos from when The Crusade came out. notice his short hair and his Dean Razorback, both of which he had a few years ago. or he already had that song written and they just hadnt recorded it and they were waiting for their new album

as much as amp and pups? no, wood and dimensions dont impact the tone too much, its very subtle, play 2 slighlty different guitars 2thru 2 different amps and the difference between amp is way bigger than wood

heres sum legato tips for ya bro (ill post em in seperate comments cos youtubes an asshole)

1: dont use your right hand at all when your practicing it (after all, all your doin is hammering on and pulling off), instead use your right hand to mute the strings, (e.g. place your right hand over the first fret of all the strings or whatever), this will stop you accidently making string noise.

2: this may seem obvious, but really focus on slamming your finger down when you hammer on, and make sure your pull offs are always 'flicked' off the string (dont just take your finger off, really flick it, so it gives the same effect as a pick would)

3: when you practice legato, start off on the thinner strings (where theres less chance of noise) and around the 3rd - 8th frets of the guitar. this will stretch your fingers as well which will make legato furhter down the neck much easier (e.g. when your soloing)

Yeah it is, except done with a 6-string guitar, so he uses A-harmonic minor scale rather than E-harmonic minor which is used in Kirisute Gomen.
