i think all the actors and actresses were great. the first episode i ever saw was from series four so this would have been my first impression.

it must be tough for the actresses to come into an already established role, must be twice as hard. They did a very very good job. And the best episodes are in the last few series, the writers really had fun with the time travel aspect - the show got super interesting towards the end. Ever seen the one where he meets his son in the future?

Different key people = different show, the same with allo allo... that show stopped when her flick went out, they dont even look a little like the original's its just plain stupid atleast on allo allo they had half an idea for changing the actor to play the same character(plastic surgery). but this is like new season new people same role? wtf.

i think it's one of the only times when the change of actors have made the characters stronger, usually actors cannot fill the void left by the previous actor.

Firstly, a wonderful series to revisit. Thank you for posting. I feel the need now to say with the absence of the wonderful Dervla Kirwan (whom left this show on a high to be in another extremely successful BBC show Ballykissangel) that, even at the time, I thought this couldn't work. But from the outset Elizabeth Carling's Phoebe is equally as delightful in capturing the glamour of the character. As for Michelle Holmes that is so another kettle of fish that I WILL comment on later. Thanks again
