  • Barbara: You are the most amazing human being musically I have ever seen in my life. I saw a link to you on Face-book and didn't even realize I been listening to you for hours and hours. To look at you, you physical beauty is substantial, but I have never encountered anything as beautiful as watching and listening to you play that B3. Your musical talent is so awesome, listening to you almost puts an artist to a decision. To either work harder at their craft or to just quit and drive a cab. WOW

  • Heart is fully surrendered and I do not want it back.

  • 2006? That's scary! I thought this was the leading edge in the evolution of music. It makes me ever more curious of her most recent inspirations.

  • I don't really her playing style but she absolutely rule the hammond organ

  • She´s my Hammond-Queen!

    Amazing.....

  • barbara lo tuyo pero ya

  • Hi Barbara . . very nice . . jazz upright bass player here and also owner of the XB-3M and love to play keyboard instrumental improve along with "B3 type stuff" . . I am sure you know what I am talking about. . . Kudos . . Lanny Davis / SC/USA

  • esta tia es una barbaridad...increible

  • Do you know what is the name of this song she is playing?

  • This is "a part" of the piece "Hot Stuff". There's a CD on the Enja label of the same name. With Andy Sheppard t. sax, Mitch Watkins guitar, and Mark Mondesir drums

  • @hans1970

For me "Hot Stuff" is one of the best Jazz Albums ever. Barbara is my Hammond-Queen and i adore her! Btw....i´m female;-)

  • Her rig looks to me as a 59' or earlier due to the shape and finish of the sharp keys. The bass pedals are midi or something, definately not the Trek II sound. That's some playin there!

  • She is an amazing musician...

  • additional inbuilt String Bass Trek II?!

  • New Hammond Organs MIDIfiés, m'est avis ;)

    N'empeche qu'il faut jouer quand meme !

    JH L.

  • Great performance! Very fusion-esque.

  • So easy on the eyes and ears

  • Absolutely outstanding!

  • This chick can really play. She's right up there with all the great b-3 players who, I'm sure, would be as impressed as I was.

  • Wow! What a gifted girl and her left foot!!

  • Does anyone know what kind of keyboard Ms.Dennerlein is playing, Chopped b3? suitcase???

  • I think its a Hammond modified with midi.

Very useful and expensive I guess.

  • yes but really, dont we all love female organ players because of the feet bit. more please !!

  • Thanks for your reply, hans1970! Last night I visited her website, where I saw the CD. The more I watch and listen to this piece, the more magical I find it to be...The moment when she starts that first phrase with her right hand is incredible! And the way the dynamics rise through the piece. What she says and how, is beyond words!

  • What a talented lady! The piece has a misty atmosphere...very european, of course; what's the name of it, hans1970?. And the guitar is not out of tune, it's just got some good dose of chorus, wich makes that ambiguous pitch.

  • This is "a part" of the piece "Hot Stuff". There's a CD on the Enja label of the same name. With Andy Sheppard t. sax, Mitch Watkins guitar, and Mark Mondesir drums.

  • I cant get enough of her style and feel. Just fantastiquely excellent.

  • where is the leslie?

  • The Leslie must be there. The sound of the B3 wouldn't be like that without it. I think, is just not visible in this video?

    Wunderschönes Stück, so ganz nebenbei...

  • the leslie is there, in fact if you look really well to her left, you'll see what appears to be the bass rotor spinning on slow. I think the leslie is a 142, which is the short cabinet

  • The Leslie is a Hohner ORT 100. No Tube Leslie.

  • WOW !

    No tubes ? ? ? ?

is that a custom made leslie?

  • No tubes isn't that rare, many leslies were solidstate. Like my 860 en 760

  • How does she get her feet to do that?

  • Like all genius's she has an infinite capacity for repitition = PRACTICE AD INFINITUM!

  • Nice music

  • To hell with all of the sexist comments- here is a musician of the highest caliber. Get your minds out of the gutter and tune your ears and minds to what this musician is doing!

  • Agreed! Unfortunately cretinous idiots don't realize that their every utterance is an indictment of their poverty of mind and spirit!

  • a foot fetisher's ultimate fantasy

  • Yeah! I wish she'd take her shoes of

  • Amazing technique, extraordinary feeling and expression, great composer - AWESOME!

  • Real shame the guitarist is out of tune. What do you expect from somebody playing a Les Paul though.
