Aluminum Boat Building program at VIU

What's the longest aluminum sheet's you can get do they come in 16 feet or biger I've seen 10 feet but I'm going to build my on and would like it to be around 16 feet long and my be 5 foot wide but with out a weld seam it the side's or bottom

Awhhh... I'm so signing up for this once I complete my apprenticeship in sheet metal.. its not even that much either $3700. Our blacksmith course here in Ontario, Peterborough is $4000 for 2 months...

So welding Class C is 1000 hours on job employment correctomondo?

What is brian welding there? 5052 or 6063 aluminum?

@diehardmercfan - The requirement for the program is essentially entry level welding training or equivalent experience. Check viu.ca for more info

Brian is welding either 5086 or 5052 sheet and 6061 and 6063 extrusion
