  • If I saw this a year ago I would have thought this guy was nuts, it sure is amazing when you understand and experience this.

  • I spend so much time contemplating my probable reality that i never actually experience reality itself because i spend so much time and energy thinking of everything that could go wrong and what might happen.

maybe tomorrow i will just stay in bed.

  • a question about the statement about un-actualized history/ probable reality databases of everything that could possibly happen: woulden't all the probabilties of everything that could possibly happen in just one day be in and of itself infinite?, never mind everything related to everyone for all time, im asking this because you mentioned the system was not infinite.

  • @w2aiq,

No the records of a finite set of interactions over a finite amount of time must necessarily be finite. The set and the time base must be finite because infinity, by its very definition, is logically impossible to ever get to.

  • Interesting that Mr. Campbell spoke that we can watch as observers. I often wake up wondering why I just watched people doing things again. I watch scenes all of the time and don't interact at all. I also have approached some scary things, but came back immediately. One time I was stuck and struggling under a wall or something. It was very distressing - the worst OBE I've ever. Fortunately, I was led back by someone who told me that "everything is alright."

  • Mr. Campbell, many have left comments about reaching your conclusions through LSD or DMT and curiously you haven't responded to them (though I could easily have missed your responses). Why is this? And how are hallucinogenic experiences related to the experience you had when reaching your TOE?

  • @MisterAtoms

I have answered this many times. In short, drugs are a bad way to travel -- great big downside, teeney weeney up side.

They relate to my experiences much the way riding a ricikety roller coster relates to holding a good well paying job if the subject is how to support a family. Drugs provide an experience with no context and no control -- Lots of gee whiz insight but little to no personal growth.

  • @twcjr44 How about DMT that doesn't put a hand on your decision making mechanism?

  • @HigherPlanes,

Look on the MBT forum -- I cannot answer that in 500 characters or less.

  • @twcjr44

I know so many of us seem to be flogging a dead horse with this issue, but there are exceptions to that general rule, isn't there?

People like Terence McKenna, Ram Dass, Timothy Leary... all explorers of consciousness and advocates of a global realisation that we are all one. They seemed to be very low-entropy beings and they credit psychedelic chemicals as the catalyst for their enlightenment. Why is it that so many people appear to derive personal growth from hallucinogens?

  • If Mr. Campbell can go to the future why he have not won the lottery?

  • why nowadays reality is always explained within the computer frame and its vacabulary :(

  • @oclock1983 YEah, that is annoying. I see it as something much more abstract and kind of beautiful. Similar to a fractal artwork piece but, not exactly.

  • David Wilcock consumes a lot I know for sure, but this guy....I dont know....He is doing a lot of hinting. Think he is quite unbelivable experienced.

  • I used to think that David Wilcock was way beyond me smart. I have a feeling this guy know a LOT!

  • This is interesting in so far as; when i was a teenager experimenting with LSD i drew many of the same conclusions being presented here. I drew them with no knowledge of scientific systems and with no education in the subject matter. I drew them intuitively. I have, in the consequent decades, educated myself further.

But i do have to say, this talk is becoming increasingly incoherent, employing catchprases and vaguries that do not illuminate the subject particularly.

  • When he said in the beginning we need to be skeptical. Start being exactly that right now. This is just not true. It's really really wrong. Every second sentence is just fantasy. He doesn't have any evidence for anything. Just bad metaphors. What is the properties of the substance/emotion/feeling/field/whatever he call love? START THINKING. I can disprove 80% of what he is saying. Please Challenge me.

    Greetings from sweden!

  • He said he had mathematical equations to back every, but there was no way it could fit in the time of his lession. I don't think his body posture or teaching skills are that of a dupe.

  • @bentebert HE is painting a very large picture. At least he's trying to tackle the greatest questions known to us. Skeptics are worthless when their only aim is to discredit someone.

  • @bentebert This is the common problem of most close-minded skeptics. They approach all fields physically and objectively. They worship nothing but matter, which is a tiny spec of the larger system.

  • So past and future exist as data bases - not as actual places. The only actuality is the present.

    Is that it?

  • Yes, but very detailed and complete databases with probabilities of almost all possible choices attached. Free will operates only in the present.. In other words the database is populated with a detailed probability model of you and everyone and everything else. The probabilities flow from the probable future to the unactualized and actualized past.

  • Thanks for that.

  • Is he saying love is order?

  • No, he is saying that when the digital information system that defines an individuated unit of consciousness is optimally evolved (ordered) it becomes love.

  • @twcjr44 Okay, when the consciousness becomes ordered, it becomes love. Please explain what "ordered" means. Do you mean balanced? I'm not understanding this. Do vices and virtues help to define progress? How do you order your conscioiusness?

    Thank you.

  • In 500 characters or less:

You decrease your entropy by reducing fear and ego driven wants, needs and desires by being caring, compassionate, humble, and balanced. Entropy is also a measure of the ability to do work. From the perspective of consciousness that translates into the ability to be helpful, useful and effective, a creator and builder (as opposed to a destroyer), to improve the quality of your content (being) by evolution through the exercise of your free will.

  • @twcjr44 Wow! That was really good. Recognizing fear, and ego, is not really very easy, I'll bet.

Okay, can you give us, one piece of advice, about realizing when we are fear-based, or egocentric? LIke, maybe one rule to follow, to stay on track, or a checklist of some kind.

    Maybe

    1. Is fear clouding my judgement here?

    2. Who benefits from this? (ego)

I am very forceful, and I have trouble with people who are not. Is that ego? How do U B yourself, without ego? Hm, what is ego, exactly?

  • Yes, it is generally not easy.

1 and 2 are good. Not only pay attention to your actions but also to your emotions and to your interactions with others.

Caring requires sensitivity to others. try to experience your interaction with others from that other's very limited viewpoint rather than from just your own very limited viewpoint. Know that your viewpoint is very limited -- seek to expand it rather than to defend it.

  • @twcjr44 Also, we live on a planet that could easily be called Fear-orama. Am I right in guessing, that reducing fear, might have more to do with personal decisions, than worrying about Joe-blow, who is around the corner with his gun?

  • Yes, that is a correct "guess". It is about the choices you make -- but even more about why you make those choices. The "why" is called "intent" and it reflects you at the being level. For example, being caring, as opposed to acting caring, is essential.

  • this is kind of like that tv show Sliders where they jump into alternate Earths..so we know the future can be projected but not actualized? but the past can be actulized because its already happened.. so we can go into the past and explore an unactualized history and when we leave it "turns off".. so if those unchosen choices were not picked by us but can be actualized we dont know if they actually turn off or they are actualized alternative realities, ..

  • the only difference is that since reality is subjective and relative to ourselves it only exists when we look. but objectivly we may assume that those realities exist independant of us experiencing those alternative realities.

  • and access those realities through bodies that aren't constrained as physical ones. so then if i were to "go back" i would be accessing a illusory reality according to me. however that reality exists independently of me as its own reality referenced by an observer in that reality as his/her own reality aswell and if we were doing them same in both realities both realities objectively are real in themselves;

  • however from the observers view observing another reality, that other reality is illusory and exists only when they look, and so there are many realities that exist as unchosen by the observer but actualized in themselves but not actualized by ourselves.

  • Consciousness came first and it is the primary stuff of the universe:

If the body came into being because of consciousness that is a wonder, but if

consciousness came in to being because of the body this is a wonder of wonders.

    Yeshua The Gnostic Christ

  • A metaphor built upon another metaphor its not a bad description -- though it would be more fitting if it was less of a tunneling image and more of a focusing image.

  • What do you think of meditation being a wormhole in reality?

  • entropy is not heat it is disorder, enthalpy is heat. the climate doesn't "warm up" because of fear/hatred...

  • Comment removed

  • Positive intent (love) then decreases entropy, therefore Negative intent (hate)increases entropy. Would explain our current climate ie. the heating up of our system. Love is the answer. Thankyou Tom, I very much appreciate your work. Mick

  • Actually.. He says the opposite of love is fear, not hate.. So.. more fear.. more entropy.

  • fractals are everywhere! :P

  • so, as entropy _potential_ decreases, i.e. as less predictabality accrues due to more options handed to/handled by the conscious will, evolution will lead to more open, voluntary, and interesting abilities as 'virtual material' beings.

  • I have modified what you have written: As entropy decreases, more options are available to the conscious will. Consciousness evolution will lead to more open, voluntary, and interesting abilities as 'virtual material' beings.

  • nice. thanks for the re-vise. your ideas interest me. I'm sort of an undergrad philosopher and full-time schizophrenic with a big interest in the ideas presented in this talk. Much of it resonates with certain deep and perplexing experiences I've had. I had to cut watching the series short in order to go to work, so I will pick it up now where I left off, part 12 :)
