becuse me and my brother got caught smoking a jay and tossed the roach before they could see and they kept saying they were gonna arrest us for P.I,

we were in a park maybe 15-20 mins after park curfew, they couldn't get us on anything so they gave us a citation, and wrote down 11:47 but it was really 10:47, they lied about an extra hour....mind you we were in another city, possible to get this citation droppped?

This is just another example of how undemocratic America is. This incident is disgusting and the officer(s) who beat the poor kid should be thrown in jail with all the real criminals they helped put away.

I truly hope Chad Gibson recovers from his injuries. It's sad that the GLBT community in the states not only have to worry about being bashed by people on the streets but the cops who swore to protect them too. Makes me very glad to be Canadian.

I think it's wrong that government R against gay people's right and that the police have to raid gay bars and stuff. Gay people in my opinion didn't choose to be gay. Cops in ALL areas run the gamut: some are honest and do their jobs, while TOO MANY others do whatever they want and then swear to lies in court when their behavior is challenged legally. Plus, most judges side with the cops because otherwise it might cost the municipality money if their agencies were held accountable for their misdeeds.

The whole system is corrupt and out of control, and the innocent suffer as a result.

This ostensibly happened because some cop got his crotch grabbed and some people were too drunk, but honestly, you don't do a bar check with a bunch of zip ties ready to go, and you don't bust heads from the get-go. I am still wondering if the timing was an unfortunate accident or it was planned as a slap in the face. This is also surprising because Dallas and Fort Worth are somewhat gay friendly. Why this club, why now? This is what prosecutors need to ask of the police. Now that there is federal hate crimes legislation in the US there needs to be an investigation as to motive, and if hate is the motive then the officers need to be held to account to the fullest extent of US law. Very shameful, but not unexpected in Texas.
