However, it does depend on the formation from mysticism, voodoo, druidism, Shamanism, necromancy...etc. Dark magic is only considered evil because it is risky to your health if you screw the rituals up.

As an aside: I've heard of people involved with Wicca, who've been fine. I've heard of people involved with what the general public call "black" magic (summoning Satan, putting curses on people, putting love spells* on people, etc.) who have really regretted it. It is NOT a good path to go down. *Love spells mess with free will and potentially end up making someone have sex whilst under the influence of magic (and therefore they are not freely consenting).

First of all your idea of black magick is "summoning satan" as you called it. Well why would that be black magick? Summoning Satan would be like summoning any other deity...Because if you look at satan philosophically he was the good one and god was the evil one. God killed way more people in the bible then satan did and also its clear that satan was a name given to other pagan gods or this so called "dark force". Seriously know what black magick is befor you say something about it.

Summoning Satan is not my whole idea of "black magic". But Satan (not to be confused with Lucifer) is a powerful being interested in doing bad - that is why Satanists summon him, to carry out revenge spells or curses etc. And what you described is NOT looking at Satan philosophically - it is looking at Satan biblically. The Bible has many many things that are not true and basically blasphemes God.

...Also, I do know what black magic is. Such a thing is actually non-existent, as magic in and of its self is neutral - it is how it is used that counts. And that stuff about pagans calling their gods satan is simply wrong. 'Satan' is a Jewish or Christian invention - it was applied to the Horned God to make him look evil. No god was called satan before. So check your own facts (and history) before commenting on something.

However, please understand that Occultists can be discriminated against which may lead to financial hardships if done by their clients/employers.
