    no quello è il compressore volumentrico..solitamente la turbina emette un fischio e il compressore volumentrico sembra quasi un "lamento" da ricordare che la gloriosa S4 aveva entrambe le sovralimentazioni!! in fatto di macchine noi italiani non siamo secondi a nessuno

  • @pershio wow really, is this before or after the crash he had? these videos are between 2003 - 2005, in 2008/2009 im guessing he has done more upgrades.

  • @pershio the 1986 B s4 could get 560cv (550hp) for short periods. i doubt bruno's delta has 950 hp

  • I think he crashed this Car in 2008, saw it on a Crash Comp. Video! The Parts are realy rare for an S4, so this year he wasnt at the Hill Climb Race near my Hometown witch sucked a little bit cause he is awesome!

  • These are not poor tyres, you just don't have the chance to warm them up. I don't know if tyre warmers are allowed, but cars line up in a big queue before their individual runs, so tyres get cold again. RWD cars can spin their rears, but front tyres remain cold, AWD like this can hardly spin tyres, so all this is driven on cold tyres. Great skills

  • I own a 93 Lancia Delta here in the US. By far the most enjoyment I've ever gotten out of a car.

  • yea, that track is wolsfeld hillclimb (in bergrennen championship germany). This hillclimb is very short, so bruno would have tight gears for this track.

  • Well, obviously this car has aftermarket performance parts (forged pistons, race gearbox, etc), so parts are not really a concern for a race car.

  • Are there spare parts still available? I mean pistons, gears, charger/turbo parts etc.

    Chapeau Ianello, few drivers are able to really stretch out the S4 legs!!

  • the fastes B group acceleration recorded from 0 to 100 was 2,1 ford RS200 :D

  • i dont think thats right the ford rs200 is slower than a 205 t16 evo2 wich is slower than a s4 but all these cars are real monsters and i wont pe surprised if the ford really did 100 km in 2.1 sec

  • whell you see the power was from 550hp to 815hp :S and with mass JUST over 1t (1050kg) it's prety fast.....xD I like ford

  • i dont think the rs200 had 550 hp or 815hp i think it had about 460hp with a 2.0L engine with 4 cylinders and turbocharged but hte lancia had about 486 hp witha 1.8L engine supercharged and turbo charged with more power and a smaller cylinder mass i think it should have done less than 2 sec to 100 on tarmac (2.3 sec on gravel) but still you may be right i only say what i know

    note (if you a site with accurate numbers on these cars power and torque please tell me)

  • I meant that these cars were from 550 hp up to 815 h.....RS200 had 250 standard HP's.....rally version prodused between 380 and 450 HP's.....BUT the EVO series had 650HP's and that gave him the a start from 0-60 in just 2.1 sec.....this car was build by F1 designer Tony Southgate xD hahaa

  • Grip was not a big problem related to GroupB cars... in the 80's each driver has many different tire sets for different wheater conditions to avoid maximum performance.. Complimenti a questo pilota al volante di un mostro dell'ingegneria italiana!!

  • yea, most mid/rear engine cars are scary to drive, specialy from the 80s. through there is the benifit of having more traction on the rear, its still scary to drive yes. also 4wd back in those days, had horrible diffs, that made them feel like they were on and off. Offcourse this S4, would be alot better omg.

  • each european country has there own national hillclimb. germany hillclimb series is called bergrennen for example.Offcourse theres international championship too, that combines some tracks used in alot of the national ones, there are 3 international championships.

    This guy Bruno and hes lancia S4, mainly races in swizerland hillclimbs, but offcourse he somestimes competes at international level

    alot of those courses you see in that video is from france germany and swizerland.

  • yea, well they can afford to have low and ultra-stiff setups, because even hybrid F3000 open wheelers with F1 engines race in these hillclimbs, its insane.

  • Does anyone know what there is been upgraded on this S4 compared to the Rally days? Maybe new turbo technology, shocks, differentials, etc, etc... Like they used to upgrade in Rallycross with the RS200 for example...

  • not sure on specifics, But i know he used a Lancia Delta Integrale body shell, and modified that to look like the S4. From what i understand, in some cases ive heard around 700bhp, that is quite common in the higher class hillclimb machines now. I know that he uses diffrent intercoolers, and air filters to the S4, not sure about the rest.

  • its usualy downloaded from diffrent hillclimb sites, search for AH Video concept, on google, or ObjectIfVideo

  • mid rear engine and 4 wheel drive produces the best traction combination. coupe that with a monster of an engine is perfect and you get an S4, period.

  • ...I think you'll find that mid-rear engined 4 wheel drive cars are the worst handling of the sort, especially when you have the power of the delta S4. I quote this because i know who was an official test driver for Lancia in the 1980's. The fact that it had a rear engine weighing down the rear end made it quite undriveable; once you lose the rear on it there is practically no way of getting it back. I find this makes it even more amazing how people like Toivonen managed to drive it so fast :-)
