  • This guy, Gene should be in Marvel vs Capcom 3. He would be one of the best characters because of his kickass and hilarious moves. Dante is not the only one around.

  • awesome game

  • A great game. One of the best on PS2.

Thanks for the memories. BALL-BUSTAH!!! :3

  • I need this song as a ringtone real bad.

  • yo wa is the song dat is at the start menu

  • I made it my ringtone XD I just played it and recorded it on my phone then set it as my ringtone.

  • Well, the camera could be better and the worlds are bland but thankfully the gameplay makes up for it. It's also quite a challange, which is something you can't say about most games these days. The AI doesn't just stand around and wait to get beat on. Most of the time, you'll get surrounded and ripped to pieces if you're not careful.

  • it's funny, re4 had the exact same camera angle, but no one complained about it then...

  • GOD HAND the best an zelda too

  • love this song.....1 of th best song of videogames

  • rip-off of the Hawaii Five-O theme

    I LOVE IT!

  • i wish they made the sequel in ps3.

  • Cross-console would be nice, too. <<

  • This needs to be made into a mp3 tbh please :)

  • hey

    cool vid

can u post the tabs sumwhere

  • Check out "goollica"'s vid.. Has tabs too.

    (I think..)

  • i love this game :] altho to this day i hav no idea why it received such low scores. 3 from IGN ?!?!? dats MESSED UP.

  • Got no genius to se that's some set up! Nothing that Clover makes is a bad game!

  • This game is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Zelda 64 beats the pants off this game, in my opinion.

But to answer your question, I think it has to due with it being somewhat repetitive, and somewhat "boxy" worlds with little variety.

But no matter what anybody says, this is a great game. Sadly underrated with games like Guitar Hero and other games that are more popular. XP.

  • You're a weeaboo. I'll admit Zelda 64 was great for its time (and this is coming from someone who HATES Nintendo) but you can't compare something that was a revelation in 3D gaming to something that just plain a revolution in gaming. I don't see Zelda breaking any barriers of political correctness.

And Zelda can't exactly talk on the repetetive front since 95% of the puzzles were just 3D variants of Link to the Past's puzzles.

  • Never insult OOT ever, best game ever hands down.

  • Sure, if you want mediocre graphics, a poor combat engine, pointless platforming and a plot completely recycled from Link to the Past.

OoT was good (not great - GOOD) for its time, and now it sucks. Let it go. It's in the past. Stop being heaped up on 'the good old days'. It did more things right than most Zelda games which is commendable but nothing special.

It certainly doesn't have shit on God Hand. Or many other games I could name.

  • why hate nintendo? sure, they've been kinda shitty lately (wii music= wtf!?) and they mostly just focus on core franchises, but they make good stuff.

  • No they don't. They cash in paychecks.

Nintendo are only good at making new ideas when they're absolutely FORCED to.

    First 2D Mario game: Revolutionary.

Fifth 2D Mario game: Identical to the first.

First 3D Mario game: Flawlessly transferred.

Fifth 3D Mario game: A complete and utter lazy-assed cash-in.

Now copy, replace 'Mario' with 'Metroid,' then 'Zelda', and you have Nintendo's entire gaming track record.

Three good games every 10 years ≠ brilliant.

  • i kinda gotta disagree. true, zelda has gone downhill, tp was definitely not as good as it could have been. super mario world was like the original, only better, which is a really good thing, mario galaxy was without a doubt a worthy successor to 64, super metroid is probably one of the top 5 2d games ever if not the best, and metroid prime 3 with its use of the wii aiming controls was a revolution in first-person shooting.

  • The games never really changed though. Ocarina of Time was completely different from the first Zelda in every way. It was a new game. It may as well have not had the same name.

Expanding on an idea and creating a new idea are VERY different things. And Nintendo only do well when they create, not expand.

But that last comment... A revolution in first-person shooting? Get the fuck out. Pack your shit and think about what you just said. It uses lock-on to compensate for controls. Game over.

  • umm, ocarina had a lot of similarities to the original, but it was 14 years later. it's not going to be the same 2d dungeon crawler that it was. and yes, "revolution" was a bit much, but i don't know what you mean about the controls, they were really smooth and worked well.

  • No, see, Link to the Past was pretty much identical to Zelda 1, but OoT changed dramatically because 3D forced them to. Nintendo are ONLY good when they change shit up dramatically; shame they've only ever done that once.

As for Metroid Prime... It needed lock-on to compensate for the awkwardness of moving the camera around and aiming at the same time. It may have worked for the game, but on the scale of the FPS genre, it's a huge leap backwards. The game was a platformer, not an FPS.

  • even though it was 3d, and i'm not saying it was identical, oot basically felt like lttp in the next dimension, now obviously there were tweaks and changes to the gameplay, but it never really felt like a completely different experience. and in metroid prime 3, i found the lock-on to be more cumbersome than just using the free aim. how far were you sitting from the tv?

  • Not really. They used new puzzle styles, (although some were recycled), the combat was completely new (if still fairly shoddy), the areas looked nothing like they once did. It may have been the same concept but it was radically altered (forcibly) by 3D.

I'm used to real FPS'. The idea of having to move the cursor PAST your enemy so that the screen cycles to him, and then move it back to aim at him proper, is... Ridiculous. No distance from the TV can fix that.

  • i'm just saying it didn't feel, to me, like a radically different game. the combat, except for lock-on, was still pretty much the same, only a little clunkier. and the basic gameplay stayed essentially the same, only 3d instead of 2d. as for mp3, yeah, the camera was a problem, but hey, what're they gonna do?

  • Use a mouse. =/ There's no point coming up with some ZMG NEW (except not new) CONTROL METHOD that doesn't work as well as an already established one.

  • i just mean it's one of the smoothest control schemes for console shooters, i can't play on my pc, 'cause it's a piece of crap. i know mouse aiming's been around for a long time.

  • It's people like you that make me glad I'm not a moron. Or misinformed. Shall we take a look at... Oh, I dunno, Time Crisis? Was around long before the Wii was even conceived. You did exactly the same thing, too! Point gun at screen, click. Enemies dies. Suddenly, Newkids disregard the fact that Nintendo haven't done a damn thing revolutionary with the Wii other than.. No wait, there really isn't anything revolutionary about it other than marketing old technology at competitive prices to current

  • i thought time crisis was only in the arcade. and yeah, as far as being a revolutionary system, the wii has been dissapointing. fine, i guess i was a little misinformed, but my other arguments still stand.

  • the best I have ever played!

  • Yeah

  • yeah!!!!!!GOD HAND....i love it...i hope GOD HAND 2 will coming soon at ps2!!!!!!

  • Well, Clover is a goner (WHY, CAPCOM!? WHY!?), so if they MAKE a sequel, it will be made by another studio...

  • oic...thanks 4 that information.....:)

  • Well clover has gone off and made their own company after being cut from Capcom. So don't think that a Godhand 2 will never come out.

  • @SUhaIMmE i just read this comment and got kinda sad =/

  • @SUhaIMmE Capcoms producer actually said he had expressed interest in Okami and God Hand recently, which is why they made Okamiden. But he also sent out a request to a bunch of gaming sites to see if people would be interesting a God Hand 2... so it just might be a thing...

  • @kainon16 It wouldn't be any good without Clover Studios.

  • @DestroyedArkana I agree with you 100%... Clover is one of the greatest game companies of all time. Games Like God Hand, Bayonetta, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Vanquish and MadWorld prove that (Clover is now Platinum, makes of Bayontta, Vanquish, and MadWorld)

  • @kainon16 The director of clover made his own company called platinum games , they're responsible for one of my favorite games ... including bayonetta .

  • @OkamiXCeleste I know that... I said it above XD

  • @kainon16 Didn't notice =p the comments were pretty scrambled .

  • @DestroyedArkana you're lucky as it was Clover's last game, a few days after release cover was disolved

  • cool couldn't find it on itunes but this works too
