  • Debate won't solve anything.. Strengthen your faith brothers and sister! Immerse yourself with prayers

  • I wonder why disco music was used at the beginning. It's very out of place for a serious debate.

  • You know Jesus had a lot to say about His Father but nothing about Mary, Jesus never even called her mother He only called her woman, if she would had been the mother of God He would have had as much to say about His mother as He did His Father.

  • @martlut - I guess I just don't considder myself like you apparently considder yourself-an all knowing and all seeing. Yes, I have questions, and I don't know everything. I'm sorry you view inquiring as baffoonish. Historically your resorting to personal attacks has meant you simply have no viable explination. Is Mary the mother of God the Father and the Holy Spirit? How could she be the mother of God the Son onlywhen the "three are one". Nobody in the BIble ever refered to her that way.

  • @carriebrk This guy martiut is what he calls everyone else a bigot, sorry he gave you such a hard time I deleted his comments and blocked him from this video. He don't understand just because the Catholic Church claims something historically does not make it so. He has a real problem with anyone who does not agree with him. He drives more away from his church then bring people in. I am sure if the Catholic Church knew his behaviour they would discipline him accordingly. Catholic is not true chur

  • @southernpreacher - Thank you, but not to worry-Scripture can stand on it's own feet :) I've had numerable debates with marlut. It gets me digging into Scripture and illucidates the Catholic point of view for me, which will hopefully make me a more effective witness to my extended family which are Catholic. To God be the glory :)

  • @carriebrk Jesus never even called Mary mother, He only called her woman because He knew she was not His mother in the essence of who He was "God".

  • @martlut - I was just reading on Nestorianism-I'd never heard of it before I read your post. The heresy is described as seeing Jesus as two separate beings loosely connected-whereas He was fully God, and fully man. It doesn't naturally follow that Mary is the mother of God though. God existed, in tiune fullness, for all of time and Mary of course did not. God had no beginning. Curiosity-does the catholic church teach the Son didn't exist before His incarnation? I don't think they do.

  • @martlut - How is comparing OT scripture terms to understand NT reference to the same puting my trust in one man? Hunts film deals with identity of the "harlot" I was talking about Israel. I could be wrong on this but doesn't the catholic church teach that the harlot is the false "apostate" religion? If not what do they say she represents.

  • @martlut - why is that? The church in the same book is described as a woman-His bride. The false religion is described as a woman-the great Harlot. The OT pictures Israel as the wife of God in Is 54:5,6;Jer 3:6-8; 31:32; Ezek 16:32; Hos 2:16. Israel pictured as a mother giving birth Is 26:17,18:54:1; 66:7-12; Hos 13:13; Mic 4:10; 5:2,3: Matt 24:8

  • @carriebrk -no reply?

  • @martlut - it doesn't state a number of days. It just says "when Herod was dead". 12:13 "Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child." Has Isreal not been persecuted? When was Mary persecuted? This whole passage is after "her Child was caught up to God and to His throne"

  • @martlut - unfortunately-just like your arguments-that research and evaluation is never based on Biblical principles-but on fallable man's opinions. "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, BUt their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN"

  • @martlut - God always was-he didn't have a mother. Jesus existed before He was born in human flesh. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." Luke...Gen "Let Us make man in Our own image"
