They don't say anything in formation!! Amazing Unlike the blue angels which are constanly saying sssssssttttttteeeeeeeaaaaaddddddyyyyyyy pppuuullllllllllllllllllll (steady pull)
The "singing" is actually him just using vocal timing so that the others know whats coming next and when to begin the next manuver. He's not actually "singing", he's just using vocal timing. Its kinda hars to explain.
Hey great vid, do you have an entire uncut version, if you do I would love it because I'm trying to piece together the maneuver list for 2009 since things got change...
Actually why the do that is the wingmen listen to the tone of Boss' voice and with that can tell if it's a small pull or a bigger pull. Nothing to do with G's being pulled or timing.
Also since the commands are long and drawn out it helps with the application of stick pressure. If boss is calm with "Back in with the pull" it's a gentle increase, but if he comes with "Baaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccck iiiiiiiin wiiiiiiiiiith theeeeee pull!" then as he's saying it slow you gradually apply pull until he says pull set. So how fast or slow he says a command defines how fast or slow the inputs are made.
Hi, firstly your videos are always awesome and this one is no exception. Secondly a wee question, i take it the acceptance show is just for the new pilots that have been selected to fly in the thunderbirds for the coming show season? Thanks and keep up the good work buddy

Awesome! Thanks for posting this vid... Ican't wait to see them at the end of August in Oregon.
I must say, it's weird seeing that jet-black (get it?) exhaust nozzle! I'm used to the shiny chrome! :)

I know how you feel. Now I have to completely memorize the new show performace before the 2009 Vectren-Dayton Air Show.

Nothing much really changed

Ok cool. Not to be mean, but, you would think that with the F-16C block 52 they would have changed the show alot more.
UNSClead1 3 years ago
it's still a shitton better than the shit they did before.

I don't of this one. But Im shooting them again on Tues. and it will be a full uncut verision.

That solo was about to stall. Made me think of what they could do with the F-22 instead of F-16. That would be so cool. And thanks for the comm.

I think they do do that for timing.
UNSClead1 3 years ago
And because they are under ALOT of G's. Thats why the "puuuuuuullllllsssss" are so long.

That also makes sense. Either way, I just can't wait to see them at Dayton and Cleveland this year.

What version of the F-16 are they flying now?
UNSClead1 3 years ago
F-16C block 52. More thrust than last year and allows the new diamond loop on takeoff.

Nice. I thought that it look alot like the Blue Angel's shows. That really does make sense.
