No. To choose a PL or DCS, you press Function + 2 and use the MHz up/down buttons or the channel knob to go through the list of PL or DCS choices. They are all there.

ummm it is advertised as waterproof... i have one for our fd usar team and i have gotten it wet numerous times and we got them for this reason
