appreciate the lesson, but you sound too much like a copy-cat.... and your timing needs to improve. when you sing, you tend to slow the tempo down then pick it up when you're not singing... just giving honest feedback.
@75bears It's a tutorial... He's not trying trying to cover it. Why don't you be more thankful to people like this guy who take the time to show under achievers like yourself how to play music. Thanks. Have a good day.
Yes, this is the version I wanted to play! For some reason Phil's instruction doesn't use the Drop D tuning even though that's the way he plays it in the greatest youtube clip of all time (!). Thanks a bunch to Crispy for this instruction. You rock for the Lord!
In Phil Wickham's lesson, he plays an Em during the bridge. What would that translate to in this "actual" way of playing it. I believe it is when he sings "And Jesus is alive...", so basically what is the fret order for the bridge?
Good job man, i'm sure it will help lots of people. Just one note, Phil also will tune his high E (Or Db after you tune down half a step) down another full step. So after tuned down half a step he also tuned the high and low e down another step.
I hope that makes sense. it really doesn't matter because he mutes the high string for most of the song, but towards the end he played the full chord.
Perfect. I tune it down a whole step and then Drop C tune it. Good job bro. If anybody would like the tabs to this song email me. Ckyordie @ yahoo dot com.(can't type html here)

Actually, right in between the two. C#,G#,C#,F#,G#,C#
The chords he uses are (from top down):
C#: 002000
A#m:007999
G#: 006777
F#: 004555
C#/E#: 002004
