@Shadeleaves It makes me so mad. I wanted to see this in theatres, but everyone I knew was like: It looks dumb.

When I saw it at home, it was still stunningly beautiful to me, but I can't even imagine how blown my mind would have been if I had seen this on a big screen, let alone in 3D or heaven forbid IMAX. That would have been an eyegasm.

@Xatike I wasn't able to watched it in theater either. Yet, despite bad resolution, i had multiple eyegasms. If i had seen this in 3D/IMAX , I think my eyes would have reached nirvana :P

wait wait waaaiiiiittt. The owl telling Soren to fly into that thing... ummm, brain fart. I forgot what it was called, anyway, the owl helping Soren happens to look just like the owl that snatched him maybe? So that owl , might be Grimble? oh god . I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW. was Grimble killed in the movie? Oh, wait, the movie isn't out yet... But the director did say that the movie would be less gorey than the books becuase little kids wouldn't wanna see broken owls on screen. Please respond!

I wouldn't want to give out a spoiler about what happens to Grimble. But if only they added Hortense with Streak and Zan this movie would've been fantastic to it's fans-- but it's just a movie after all :)

And to answer your question on Sorens owlnapper, I believe that would be Jutt (Eastern Screech owl and Ezylryb is a Whiskered Screech owl) that's all I know though .

I know that Jutt and Jatt are in the movie from what I read on Wikipedia in the cast listing. Kinda odd that they totally scrapped Skench, Spoorn, and even Aunt Finny from the movie. They are pretty important characters for the first books even though they're minor when compared to the Pure Ones.

@DeadmanInc336 WHAT?! They SCRAPPED THEM ALL?! Then who will be Soren's pit guardian?! And if they make sequels later on.... when St.Aggies was conquered by the Pure Ones, Skench and Spoorn went to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree and the band were to teach them to fight, isn't it? Then Skench betrayed them. Good Glaux, how could they scrap those important scenes? And where did you find out about that?

There is absolutely no mention of Skench or Spoorn or Aunt Finny in the cast listing. The only St Aggies owls that are in the movie are Grimble, Jutt, and Jatt. The Pure Ones are already in control of St Aggies in this movie from what I've read. Nyra is known as the "queen" of St Aggies. In the second theatrical trailer that features Grimble, you can see Nyra with Kludd in the background when he screams "Go tell the guardians!". So they changed quite a few things.

Hopefully this film will be very successful and will make enough money for Zack Snyder to start working on a sequel. I think everybody wants to see Kludd take his rightful place as leader of the Pure Ones rather than just a minion for Nyra.
