  • 1:01 Counted rows of thread on the upright facing camera. There are 18, or 17 1/4 revolutions- the one at the bottom is the cross, & only goes to the peg at lower-right. Judging from the size of the woman [about 4' 10" -- 5' ?], each side of the warping reel is about 4 feet. That means that each trip around the warping reel is between 12 & 16 feet. The entire warp, by my calculation, measures between 69 & 92 yards.

    17.25 x 16' = 276' / 3 = 92 yards

    17.25 x 12' = 207' / 3 = 69 yards

  • :56 That must be the world's largest warping board!

  • They use it when planning to weave 10-20 yards of fabric. It is incredible to see in action!
